We’ve been fvcked by Sky Sports, again.

The away games at Derby and Swansea have been moved to midweek in December for live TV.

I’m going to both, which means a hotel & overnight stay. Each game will cost me £200 plus as a result.

No consideration for away fans.

Really looking forward to these televised games.

Hopefully my pigeon Portuguese will help me find bars showing them whilst in Brasil.
 
Serves the geezer right for booking 2 nights in Swansea. I'd not want to be there for 2 minutes.
 
Not actually being a fan anymore has given me a clearer perspective on the low esteem in which CAFC holds it fans.
It's probably true at many other Clubs as well, but by no means all of them I think.

Screwing the December plans of loyal supporters by moving yet more fixtures for TV shows the Club doesn't really give a f**k about its fans.
Dedicated fans like Royston, who is rightly angered by this cynical behaviour.
Yet Royston will still be going.
He will suck up all the extra expense and trouble to be there to support Bowyer and the team, despite knowing that the Club is shafting him.

It will never stop either, unless fans say enough is enough and refuse to play ball.
It is very sad to see loyal fans being shat on again and again by Roland and his break-even obsessed cronies, who don't care about the football at all.
Glad I'm out of it now.

Lardi, well you are still a fan <ok> …. what you are saying is that you are no longer a supporter … well you are still a supporter because you have a season ticket <ok> but you know what I mean :)

We're no different from any other club. Football is all about money, and the money comes from an enormous army of armchair fans who pay silly money. Until they get up off their fat arses and go and support their local team instead of supporting Sky it won't change.

Does the club have any say at all in the TV moving the fixtures? I assumed they signed a contract, which was probably obligatory, and TV then chose games as and when.
I agree 100% that it is daft to change the dates like this. Given the cheaper deals on the rail network if you buy in advance, a lot of fans must be getting regularly stuffed as these games change date when they have paid for travel arrangements. Generally most hotels can be cancelled free with a months notice, so I can't see that as a huge problem, but overall, there is no interest at all, or even recognition from Sky that a lot of people supporting clubs are being badly let down. I can't see any point in blaming the club though.
