Lots of disappointed Charlton away fans on social media overnight, including a few of the real stalwarts :headbang:

I know it’s like talking to the deaf & mentally impaired, but the club are still not getting this right.

This loyalty point system - in reality a “bribe to sign up for Valley Gold system” is ridiculous, you’ve got fans with over 400 so called loyalty points who can’t go to Millwall FFS !

Loyalty points should only be awarded based on attendance at away matches in the previous 3 seasons - which captures all of the lengthy and costly and unfashionable League 1 Northern trips.
Any away game north of the Midlands should gain extra loyalty points.

It’s really not that fvcking hard is it :headbang:
Away tickets should be sold in this order.

Away match ticket stubs
Season Ticket Holders
Valley Gold

All the rest is noise.

Luton away is expected to sell out as fast as Millwall … perhaps Millwall will release tickets to the lower middle sections of their away stand as the initial away allocation (as CLB said yesterday) has already sold out.

Regardless of where the Millwall fans have bought tickets, they all gravitate towards our end anyway :emoticon-0148-yes:

You are quite right.

we have a laughable, ridiculous state of affairs whereby fans who went to Rochdale & Oldham last season can’t go to Fulham and Millwall ...because a bunch of old farts give Duchatelet £10 a month for his cash cow Valley Gold.

After every time this happens the Club says it will learn from it's mistakes.... and then …. fvck up again!

I agree that tickets for away games like Millwall should be based on attendance at away games. It is not right that people who never travel away should have first dibs on local London derbies. Fans should be rewarded for all those trips to the likes of Accrington.

As ive said elsewhere ive done 18 away games this season and last with west brom , bristol city and boro booked.
What gives me priority for the millwall game not the 20 away games but my valley gold membership.

Controversial, but I don't think there are that many better ways of doing the points system.

If it were weighted by distance, a hypothetical trip against Liverpool would be worth more than Gillingham.

Also, you can still buy tickets before Valley Gold members with fewer points so I don't see it as a major issue.

The only issue is away walk ups (which should be a small number in this division) as the points can't be allocated for this easily.

I think the point is that VG gets you so far up the ladder to get away derby tickets so either ...
1) The points given to VG is reduced back to the 250 points that were allocated for Reading away … or
2) That purchases for away tickets are given far more loyalty points than at present

I think VG was under valued for Reading but is over valued now.
Lets not forget youd need 550 points to have priority over VG.
