Perfect glp!As with most things in life, people will do what they feel like and for that there’s no right or wrong reason for going or not going. I decided to continue going because my lad is football mad, I didn’t want him taking the easy option a lot of his friends have done which was ‘support’ Manchester City or whoever else is flavour of the month.
I have also experienced a lot of bereavement over the last few years and I don’t want to delay watching matches with my lad - we never know when our time is up.
So, I will continue attending and I will also continue to think the Allams are ****s. I don’t think morals/principles come into play, just varying perspectives on what is or isn’t important. For me it’s more important watching matches with my lad than it is holding a grudge and not going. I won’t be around forever.
I’ll carry this on if I may, most on here will know what happened to me last year. Only a week before Stanley died he asked if I’d start taking him to watch city, my girlfriend smiled and said “now what you going to do, principles and carry on your boycott or take him to city?”
I couldn’t say no he was 6 years old he’d never understand, also the thought of going with him made me smile.
A week later that smile and that thought of going with him had gone.
So my reasons for not going are no longer because of the Allams they are because I should be going with my little boy, instead I lay on my bed with his ashes and we listen to burnsy.
So folks the Allams are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things really, go support the team life’s too short not to
