I’ve never met Smug.

Everyone knows I don’t ever have any reason to kiss anyone’s arse, nor would I, I have a good life and I don’t worry about acceptance from anyone.

Smug has often been accused of this and that but rarely if ever proven to have said a word without foundation, I know lads who’ve met Smug and he’s apparently exactly as he professes to be.

I believe that every post Smug has made has been made in good faith, not all will be accurate, but then, it never is, things change.

I have no reason to doubt what I’ve read from Smug, nor do I believe people have texts from Donald and all that ****e.

I get bits of info sometimes, I’ve posted them here, I’ve had abuse on occasion. Facts are I don’t give a ****. If I share owt (Bent on a flight, Fletcher signing, M’vila on a flight from Paris), it’s out of excitement as a fan.

What would Smug gain from it? **** all. He’s one of us. He wants the best for the club, something it almost looks like many are desperate to stop happening.

Seriously though I echo what you say about Smug, he's a proper supporter who's just trying to help out where he can.

After reading that post on the SMB would you say it was a bit of a over reaction. Because at the minute people are getting their pitchforks ready for a full assault on SD.

If it was true then sending anything to anyone by text would be amateurish regardless of whether there was an NDA or not. It wasn't the content, it was the idea of anyone sending it. But like I say I haven't seen anything in person, or even screenshots, so even though I've no reason to doubt the person who messaged about it I decided it was a daft thing to post and had it removed. If true it would make me doubt whether Donald is the right person to be running a large football club but so much has been proven not to be right on this topic that it might well be bollocks

It's an effing madhouse at times, and this potential takeover has brought the absolute worst out of it.

I honestly believe it started with the PF / SMB split, because the zany idiots couldn't bounce around the funny / bullshit threads on the same board, so just got their kicks spouting crap and getting emotional on the football ones.

That takeover thread tonight rewrites the dictionary definitions of embarrassing and assumption, it's actually bizarre.

The question should be asked of why this text message has been made public by someone he obviously trusts. It could be easily traced back to that person. I honestly think it could be a load of ****e. Too much disinformation is kicking about.

Yeah, like I say I trust the lad who messaged me about it but it still might be bollocks, that's why I thought my post probably wasn't helpful so thought I'd get it deleted. Just pissed off like everyone else and that can sometimes lead to a lack of judgment!

Both Speedy and Kittenmittens are people who were either involved or on the periphery of consortia trying to buy the club at the same time as SD. Both have had downers on the current owners since then.

Kittenmittens especially only appears when things aren't going well, he suddenly became really active again on Tuesday when there were rumours the deal was off. A lot of his posts since then are also nothing but speculation.

Speedy has nothing to do with any takeover. He has input on youth football and knows a couple of explayers. He's being built up to something he isn't. I've known him for over 30 years and he's a really nice lad.

For what it's worth, I'm still quietly confident about all of this.

We've seen no proof to say it's off. We have the owners word to say it's on and we await an update.

In addition, someone has seen him tonight and said he appeared to look confident.

Let's see what tomorrow or the weekend brings and then maybe a new manager on Tuesday.
