Just my two pence worth.

I’m not worried about the cancellation of the talk in cos it could be due to a multitude reasons, some of which has been suggested.

For me it could be any of the below but my opinion is that it’s 1. SD probably assumed all would be sorted by now and they would have the time to sort the talk-in

* they are simply too busy getting this takeover across the line

* Donald may not be the chairmen when the takeover takes place

* The take over is looking shaky so they want to let the dust settle before a talk in

* due to the cancellation of Fleetwood and wants it to take place when more resources are in place to support the night.

Let's not forget his patents aren't in the best of health at the moment and he may want to take some personal time away to see them.

If the issue is down to discussions with a council (or councils) and they aren't on a strict deadline then yeah, I could seriously see it dragging on. Mind these lads might eventually put a deadline on it, which I imagine would speed things up somewhat!
If the Council were involved I’d certainly be dropping any expected timeframes for progress :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Screw it, I often get bored on my 3 weeks off so I am happy to provide any logistical / supply chain expertise :emoticon-0129-call:

There is no way imo that this all hinges on a planning application. They take months and months and can have appeals etc. I'm sure you can check to see what planning applications have been made? Would certainly put this rumour to bed.
The Dell boys may indeed have ambitions to do various things but they will be way down the line.
Imagine trying to put a planning application in on premises you dont legally own...how does that work?
I have only ever been ITK once by chance and that was in regards to Craig Gordon signing when all the media were saying he had talks with us and was travelling to Villa to talk to them. The company my late uncle worked for sponsored SAFC at the time and he was told Gordon had signed and sure enough he had.
Anyway by chance I got talking to someone last night who will definitely know stuff given their business and links to SAFC ever since Reidys days. They have been told announcement on Monday or Tuesday next week. Fingers crossed

Hope you're right about the announcement marra.

Might be wrong but pretty sure you can apply for planning permission on land that you don't own.

Obviously a risk of spending money on the application and then not getting ownership of the land so being unable to carry out the development

Great keeper, Craig Gordon. We have always been blessed with good goalkeepers in my years supporting SAFC. With the exception of 2017-18 of course.

Fingers crossed for Monday / Tuesday then.
