I have access to a construction project tracker website that lists not only live projects but also the really really early projects, I will have a nosey to see if there is anything on there

I would have thought they won't be ready yet to apply for planning, it will be initial designs and cost plans

If I had to guess based on what's been said about issues that won't affect the takeover, I'd suggest they're maybe trying to get a high level of buy in whilst there's still a chance they could walk away. The council won't want people like this not coming and investing, so maybe they'll get more commitment from them at this stage, pure guesswork like!

I'd say that's a very accurate guess Mr Guzzler.

IF they are going to build loads of new facilities and they have flat roofs can I be the first to ask if my company can help with budgets and designs :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Would it be best to take the 1-2 week timeframe with a massive pinch of salt?

If the issue is down to discussions with a council (or councils) and they aren't on a strict deadline then yeah, I could seriously see it dragging on. Mind these lads might eventually put a deadline on it, which I imagine would speed things up somewhat!

My brother in law who's a roofer always has a sharp intake of breath when flat roofs get a mention - Strictly pitched for a real waterproof finish he says
