Trouble with this is they can deliberately put you in situations where you have to choose between pleasing them and watching the match! Saturday is one of only two free days per week afterall!
The mrs is a Derby fan, it's only a problem when we play them a problem for her at least as we took six points off them last season
I know a bloke who supports Liverpool and his missus supports Chelsea and they go to war every time they play each other. Daft thing is, they both come from Watford, have no natural connection with either club and have only ever been to a handful of live games. In short, they're a pair of twats.
as long as its not tws then i dont mind. but surely the girl of your dreams would have to be a hull city supporter.
I recall losing a woman when I told her that being with her was nearly as good as being on my own....
Luckily, me and my wife are in work that is very flexible. My wife started hating football once she knew how obsessed I was (there's plenty worse than me!) but she has driven me from London to KC and back for a midweek match and she always picks me up at the station so I can't complain.
I did my best to notice When the call came down the line . . . . From what I've read on these exulted boards, I would recommend that most of you get a partner with absolutely no interest in football; as even the slightest inkling of knowlegable support would render you inferior to their massive intellect!!! Are we human? Or are we ?
couple of years ago I went home with this foxy French chic .. discovered she was fanatically into St Etienne.. loved football.. had her own place.. nearly perfect...unfortunately the only lowpoint of the night was the feckin big poster she had of Wayne bloody Rooney on her kitchen wall! this was like two weeks after he's put 4 past us.. City had lost the game 4-0 I think.. so 9/10..
It happens in ALL families and in ALL countries. I'm 'wall, my missus hates football of any code, and we have four over here, my daughter is into Union, likewise her son, my son coaches League, his oldest son plays and supports one team, his brother another, but, as I've written before THEY ALL WEAR MILLWALL GEAR.
