He retired. After being pushed out by his local party I think. People didn’t stop voting for him or vote him out.

They say of Christopher Wren when in St Paul’s Cathedral “ If you want to to see his monument look around you”.
Same could be said of Geraghty and Orchard Park.

Geraghty was deselected by Orchard Park but stood in West Carr for Labour and lost. He may be retired now but he did try and get re-elected.

Yes, but as I said the voter kept electing him, and other clowns, purely because they were Labour, irrespective of if they were competent or not. Geraghty didn’t keep getting elected because the voters liked him or because he had unique abilities.

I think he was elected as an independent against Labour candidates at least twice so he had some personal support on Orchard Park. There are not many examples of independents being elected in Hull, especially in what are nominally safe Labour seats.

Everyone has their views and tend to use whatever else they hear, either directly or indirectly, to reinforce them, so few if any are liable to shift their position, which means we're stuck in loops as we are on this thread, and there's a possibility that will continue with new owners.

The constant in the club are the fans (yes, I know the individuals change), so in my opinion, the way forward is to see what common ground we all share, which on a fundamental level is supporting the football club, which happens irrespective of the owners.

Instead of years of circular discussions, why not use the time and energy to see what fans can achieve despite whoever the owners may be?

Let's face it, the current methods haven't moved us on much, if anything, they've contributed to the problem.
Blessed are the cheese makers

Deselected = pushed out by his own party. He wasn’t voted out by his constituents on Orchard Park.He wouldn’t get in as an independent. As you know in most areas in Hull put a Labour rosette on a donkey they would get in. And they do.
Agreed
He didn’t ‘retire’ though

You down to Brentford today Fez?

No. 3 reasons.

1. Simply can't (distance, not Allams)
2. Simply don't want to. (lost the love of pro football, not all down to the Allams)
3. Sons wedding weekend.

Anything else I can help you with?
