From our point of view it's a no brainer. From Spam's point of view they now have a player on their books who is a full international, and has shown that he is too good for L1. A saleable asset. But assuming that their owner is more sensible than ours, they will see that he will be even more saleable after a season in the Championship, maybe even good enough to play for them. So yes he could come back.

to drop down the divisions to the scottish prem instead of playing full time competitive football is just something that i dont understand.

The lure of playing for Gerrard and European football. And no way did Rangers offer him more than the likes of Villa and Southampton etc

He will get until the end of his contract, I would say. He would need to have a catastrophic season to get sacked. And I can't see him leaving us unless he gets offered the Liverpool job. I honestly haven't thought about him being sacked. Stick your money on us winning the league this year mate <ok>
