Another defeat for Chairman May, which (should) mean that she resigns and allows the process to continue without her (She won't)
I can't see how Brexit can really happen in the short time frame we have. May's deal hasn't got any support whatsoever and she seem hellbent on blocking anything else that has been mooted in what seems like a last ditch display of power to railroad everything else.. Whilst the only thing the parliament agree on is that we should do everything we can to avoid No Deal.. So there's not even the tiniest grain common ground as things stand .. Or common sense.
As a Remain voter there is absolutely no satisfaction in any of this.. It's been an absolute sh!tshow for both Leave and Remain voters.. and everyone else sat in between.
Corbyn constantly calling for a General Election (to a neutral) looks incredibly desperate, whilst May is equally as desperate to cling on to any sort of power she thinks she still has. The lunatics might as well be running the asylum

The only silver lining in all this is that people see the likes of JRM and Bojo for the self serving charlatans that they are and they are not re elected at the next General Election.. Not likely but it has shown some politicians more than others to be an absolute stain on British Politics and should be as far away from positions of authority.
Sorry, but they all had the chance to put their arguments forward. they lost the vote, if that was due to laziness on the remainers part then they need to hang their heads in shame. this was no different from a general election. It is a monumental f*ck up & the idiot PM at the time should be made to stand trial, instead he walks away & leaves it to others to sort out.
Well, it was partly down to illegal activity from the Leave campaign and they should be facing trial too.
The Director of Vote Leave is so committed to Westminster and British democracy that he didn't bother to turn up to answer questions and has now been found in contempt of Parliament.
Whatever the outcome this Country has faced far greater perils than Brexit, there's nothing to be frightened of whichever way it goes.
The Referendum was,we are told,a once in a lifetime vote.Yet it looks likely May is going to push her deal to a fourth vote in the hope MPs will finally "get it right".And they wonder why so many people are disillusioned with our politicians and their machinations.

There is a lot to be frightened of on an individual level, particularly if you're not white or you're only a first or second generation immigrant or you're a Muslim.

Our only hope out of this total mess, is a cross-party interim parliamentary arrangement that puts forward a sensible, pragmatic compromise next week, which all moderate, more honest, willing to come together MPs can sign up to.

In case you haven’t been watching the news there are now regular attacks on Mosques and Muslims. Brexit is encouraging far right sentiment - yesterday Tommy Robinson gave a speech in Parliament Square. The government has been treating Carribeans disgustingly and deporting people.
There is a lot of fear and anxiety amongst non-whites and immigrants. People whose parents or grandparents came to the UK and no longer feel safe or welcome in the country of their birth.
Regardless of what happens economically - and I think that will be very bad - there is not nothing to be frightened of.
Ok I thought I must be wrong, you carry on being frightened while the rest of us keep calm and carry on.

The irony is these people claiming to uphold the values of Britain and be proud of their nation. My grandfathers who fought in the war will be turning in their graves.
My Father also but we haven't had a " Krystal Nacht " yet or mass police round ups, or people disappearing in the night, so mis placed hysteria is never helpful, take another tablet and keep calm.
I agree with you to some extent, in fact hysteria portrayed in the media just compounds the problem. But for individuals and communities who are harassed or subjected to violence it's irrelevant that other monstrous things happen or have happened in the past. The situation is escalating and becoming rather serious and for me not something just to shrug off because it doesn't affect me directly.

I think the comments are pretty apt.
Although most of the stuff is minor, inconsequential and usually common sense, nothing is 'forced' on the UK any more than our government 'forces' laws on its own people. The irony of Nigel Farage rinsing this institution surely cannot be lost on his followers.
