Everybody I know that’s seen it said it should be a three episode thing that you can clearly see is dragged out over 8 episodes.

I thought it was just a one parter. I watched the first 15 minutes, thought this is bloody slow moving, what with irrelevant old women bimbling on about what a good tennis partner Jerry was and detailed plans of where they was having their tea, so I looked at the listings, realised I had another 7 and three quarter hours to endure and thought Nah.

So I bailed out.

BTW, what happens in the end?

Knowing Netflix, probably ends on some forced cliffhanger for a second season...

I concur, it dragged out. However, still enjoyed it and goes end to end the series of events and helps shut down the conspiracy theories. It starts to pick up from episode 3.

Does anybody believe they didn’t do it?

To me, it always came across that they accidentally killed her and have been covering themselves ever since.

This doc didn't need to be made, and it certainly doesn't need to be 8 ****ing episodes long. Netflix usually does do fantastic true crime docs, but at times they do have a problem with making them way longer than they need to be.

If you read Gonçalo Amaral's book, 'The Truth of the Lie', accidentally killing her and covering it up is the best case scenario.

How was she accidentally killed, do you think?

Netflix do some good crime docs but they certainly drag them out even when they are good

After Life, if you don't like or get Gervais don't watch it, if you do it's up there with his best work.

Binged the whole series in one go

****ing brilliant.

I watched the first episode and wasn't sure, but it certainly grew on me, up to episode 3 now. Loved the line from the prostitute, saying the punters like the fact that her hands are small, make their dick look bigger.

She's not a prostitute, she's a sex worker.

Wanted her to stay asleep whilst they left her and went out, and accidentally overdosed her with some form of sedative.

There again she could have been abducted by shape-shifting aliens and taken to a secret (though signposted) bunker.

To each their own (and they'll no doubt be some contradictions in other things I do watch) but I couldn't watch that McCann documentary.
HEAR HEAR

Whatever is speculated to have happened; or speculated to have been done by whoever, the end result is that something horrible happened to a 3 year old girl.

Not my idea of entertainment.
