The offside flag ain't raised till the player touches the ball...like I said...the offside law is a mess...used to be a fact but is now a matter of interpretation with phases of play etc.

No he didn’t in fairness. If he was being pulled back or fouled at the point of the offside I’d understand that interpretation, but he was offside ran through and was then fouled. Meh.

In any case think about it, a player is played through 30 yards from goal but is clearly offside, for that interpretation to be correct then they’d have to let the play carry on in case he was fouled by the keeper or something. Kane was offside, the flag should have been raised and play therefore stops.

It is ****ing ridiculous but if they judge Kane got fouled prior to touching the ball they give the foul despite the fact he is in an offside position because with the present interpretation of the rule he only becomes offside when he plays the ball or interferes with a defender.
Basically the rules are written by loons.

How do you think it’s going for United with OGS in charge?

I said that a decent manager like OGS would finish at least third with this squad if they’d been in charge all season. He might actually do that! <laugh>
