Only saw part of it. From what I saw Haslam has it pretty much spot on. We did virtually all the pressing, but a combo of some great goalkeeping ( why do these ****s always save their best performance for us?), and our inability to break down a stubborn 10 man Goon defense meant we nearly came up empty handed again. They set up to whack us on the break and did so successfully once.
You’re wrong Tobes. Happened against Saints a few weeks back against Derby. Offside but because the he “wasn’t” in play at the time, it was given. Although he was probably pulled back because he was offside.
I’m not wrong at all, they even reviewed it with the ex referee on BT. The lino should have flagged for the offside, for me to be wrong no offside could be given unless the ball goes out unless there’s somehow a foul afterwards. Stop talking such utter clankers.
Go back to the Derby FA Cup game at St Mary’s. It’s all technicalities. I was pissed off as a penalty was given. The guy was offside running in on goal to meet a header but was pulled back. In my opinion, should be offside but he wasn’t offside according to the rules.
An ex ref makes you right? Eh...ok... The offside rule is ****ed generally with phases of play and ****...offside should be offside imo but hey ho... My bad if I am wrong Anyhow **** em... they are gooners
I can’t find any reference of a penalty to Derby in that game in the Cup tie at St Mary’s mate. In any case think about it, a player is played through 30 yards from goal but is clearly offside, for that interpretation to be correct then they’d have to let the play carry on in case he was fouled by the keeper or something. Kane was offside, the flag should have been raised and play therefore stops.
I agree Actually I’m wrong. Think it was Man City Schalke. Schalke bloke was offside and Fernandinho pulled him down and the pen was given.
Was at the game so ain't seen replays...did kane touch the ball before the foul? The offside flag ain't raised till the player touches the ball...like I said...the offside law is a mess...used to be a fact but is now a matter of interpretation with phases of play etc.
