His role is absolutely pivotal to how we play.
Hence when we were 3/4 game into our winning streak some of us were sensing changes in the team dynamic due to his predilection to slow the tempo at certain times during matches.
Ever since he signed last January though I believe him to be a quality player but days like today though make me reflect on that assessment. Perhaps it's as you alluded to previously that there is mental fatigue in certain players due to both the hectic schedule but also the responsibility they bear as important members and leaders amongst the squad.

So just a quick question!!!!Phew.
Discussion over then.
Nailed it Jammy, 100% my take. Like you, I thought he was very composed on the ball when he arrived, now I'm not so sure, and somebody needs to rotate him 90 degrees.

So just a quick question!!!!
All players fit again, Philips or Forshaw in front of the back four?
So where does Forshaw play, who you going to drop to put him in the team??
Nah, sorry OLOF a **** is niceRed
the ref is a ****

To be honest, if Harrison's touch had been away from the covering defenders then it probably would have resulted in a red card being given. What the ref failed to understand is Harrison is left footed and therefore his first touch was perfect for him.Red or not?

Well he can't fookin defend,so hope Coopers back for the 3 game ban that Philips has got.Just saw this on twatter, discuss:

He's not the finished article at 22 and makes mistakes like the rest, but he's not as bad as some make out.
And I've just seen he shares my birthday.![]()
I think it just goes to show what a critical position it is and how well Phillips has actually been playing it.Just saw this on twatter, discuss:

If Douglas had been taking corners and all the free kicks I am sure his stats would look a lot better but because Pablo takes them all it seems Douglas is having a lesser seasonThought Douglas was a tad unlucky with his free-kick today, almost scored. Saw glimpses of the wand.
Easy for me, the team that started the season against Derby, Phillips sitting in front of a back 4 dropping into the hole to make a back three when the full backs go forward. No place for Forshaw, a good all round substitute for Klich or Phillips, okay we have no Saiz but I am hoping we find a good replacementSo just a quick question!!!!

Pause it at exactly 3 seconds and you get this shot. I'd say red all day long.Red or not?
