i beleive he sold the rights to that song years ago and does,nt get a penny whenever its played ,unlike the slade boys who get around 500k per year.
Was going to refer to that as I remember reading it. The version you hear now isn't the original. 3 or 4 years after it was first a hit it was popular again and they wanted to press more copies but the master tape was lost. He went and recorded it again and that is the version that is played on the radio.
Merry Christmas one and all (well not quite ‘all’ but everyone on here anyway) Must say I’m expecting mixed emotions, but a lot of them. First one since Mrs T lost her Mum and she was always a big part of our Christmases. I miss her too and it will be hard with an obvious gap round the table. On the other side there’s two Grandkids round the table, and Mother in Law hung on long enough to see the second one arrive last Christmas Eve. So it will be nice, but there’ll be tears too. I’ll raise a glass to a few people, that’s for sure (and I popped and had a Scotch with my Dad at his grave today) Take care and I hope you have a good one.
Merry Christmas one and all. Hoping the Allams **** off very soon. Have a great day with your nearest and dearest. Great post from DBT - I find Christmas Day tough since losing my Mum - She was the epitome of Christmas and loved sharing the day with her Grand Children. This will be the 4th one without her, so today there’s always my Christmas Day visit to the cemetery. It makes Football peripheral, but god I wish the Allams would **** the **** off. Talk about overstaying your welcome.
Merry Christmas one and all, young, not so young, across the miles and not forgetting absent friends and family, cheers, Buck's Fizz time, cheers again, best wishes to all.
