Refuse to discuss Christmas till December so well played for waiting Despite that we’ve got one tree up already because Mrs Tash tricked me by having an early Christmas do with some old work mates when I was out at City Sloe Gin will be ready soon (only 3 litres this year as still got a litre left from last year!) Need to do my part of the Christmas shopping soon. List includes champagne, scotch, brandy and several lorry loads of beer (mixture of decent lager, IPA and ales) I like Christmas anyway, it’s always a big family time, but this year even more so as eldest daughter is expecting between Christmas and New Year. As long as everything goes well with her then everything will be perfect (actually ideally if it all goes well without interrupting Christmas dinner that would be even better!)
At a Xmas Fayre with the girls and bairns, really quite pleasant. They joined in a class to make a door wreath, then onto a Ukelele class, now fancy coffees; the Caffrey's bloody good, so going to have a medicinal Jameson to put me in a festive mood. UTT
My lad has a Uni entry exam & interview today. He went off to register I headed to the bar, eyed up the range of ales on offer & heard a loud “NO” from behind. She caught me up. The College has had it’s Christmas panto for local kids, they’re all over the place doing his, & our, heads in. Screaming ****ers. It was his 18th yesterday, he was already half moody because he had to have an early night & no alcohol (his choice) last night.
And with that comes the conundrum of trying to find an original location/event for the bloody elf every night. I got creative last night and made a parachute for 'Eddie the Elf' the little scamp. He did come very close to just getting gaffer taped to our tri fold doors. You could create a thread on it's own for elf on the shelf ideas.
My mrs tip toed in and put it on her bedside table at at twelve on Thursday night. Daughter came running in two minutes later. She wrote him a letter a few weeks ago, beautiful it was asking him loads of questions. We've bought her on e of those big elfs from home bargains too. She loves it. Carries it round the house with her. First thing Friday morning she made the little elf a cup of tea and biscuits.
