The Jameson was a mistake. Now £150 lighter on two Ukeleles for me and the granbairn, lessons booked, should be interesting...

...can't stop Fezess laughing <cheers>

Ukuleles are great fun. I don't play, but my brother in law does (he also plays the guitar) and he picked it up for the novelty factor - but he loves playing the Uke and so does my nephew. Brother in law said he feels like George Formby when he's playing.

It seems I've walked right into it. The Arts Centre Xmas Fayre (which is where it started yesterday) will include a Ukelele Club gig which me and the lad have 'volunteered' for - got to be done now, watch this space. :emoticon-0159-music<laugh>

Embrace and enjoy it Fez it'll be great. One of the best gigs I have ever played - (and I have done thousands over 40 odd years) was not playing the double bass, bass guitar or the piano or singing, nor was it playing in an orchestra or in pop, rock or big bands, nor was it to thousands or small audiences, but playing old time stuff on the Uke with a small band in a home for the elderly as a Christmas time favour to a friend. It will live long in the memory. I hope it goes well mate. Can we have a small clip of your gig for the board? It might raise the spirits of our fellow fans ;)

Ah the moderators gig. Hats off.

Got all my shopping done this weekend, thank **** (mainky due to the gf being so organised, bless her). A far cry from buying stuff up until about 11pm on Christmas Eve last year.

Can't wait for Christmas, love it personally. Christmas Day party at my old mans with the whole family (about 20 of us in total), getting pissed and playing drinking games. Bloody great night. A lot of them haven't met my gf yet, so that should be interesting...
