When the U23s are on YouTube, I try to watch them. Valerie would need to be more aware of players, as he seems, IMO, to get caught on the ball fairly often.
Would definitely let Obafemi start. Davis captain?

Long is out for six weeks in total I believe. So basically all of December, the busiest month of the season.

Anything official on Ings yet? Reckon that's worse than being let on which gives us a huge problem.

Hughes said he was in training at the end of last week, Friday I think, but that he's probably still a week away from being able to play.

I wouldn't.

It'd also be a very different City side with us potentially under a new manager.

Very different City side, but I'd fancy their u18s to beat us at the moment. Can also see Hughes putting out a completely different side vs Leicester to try and save his job in the PL by trying to get something against Utd. I suppose in situations like this our very bloated squad full of average is actually a blessing if you want to progress in the cups as a completely changed XI from the Fulham game won't actually be too different in terms of quality

Atrophy. It's the one constant in this gray world, the return of dust to dust, of man to ground. Like millions before we thought to defy it, to declare that we would rise forever, the lone exception to the universe's accursed rule. But no; the muscles grow weak and the mind weary. Hope gives way to a resigned desperation. The Grim Reaper readies his scythe; our last remaining goal is only that others should step ahead of us in line and claim their place in his dark legion before the sun goes down, that we may spend another day surveying the abyss before we are consumed by it.

Orwell's vision of the future was a boot stamping on a face forever. Ours is a Hoedt trying to keep the ball in on the byline, leading to conceding a goal. Forever.

I don’t know why we haven’t gone back to playing five defenders.

We did quite well with the extra defender covering mistakes.

I remember when our squad was thin but our first team had quality; clyne, shaw, fonte, Schneider, lallana, Ricky, j-rod. Now as above we don’t have any standout players.

Armstrong should start he needs a run, apart from that I don’t care who plays.
