He made them TV deals because he was in the hot seat to do so. That was his job...the one he was on a wage for.

Everyone wants a piece of the PL circus...or has he do done something extraordinary to get the deals?

Agreed. It's a bit like the Harrods boss getting a bonus for selling Louis Vuitton handbags to rich Arab wives.

Let Newcastle pay it in free advertising and parachute money.
I can't believe Ashley will agree with us contributing to this. Our share is probably about the same amount as he has set aside for the January transfer window.

So the majority of clubs voted in favour of giving him the £5m(****s), so Scudamore got improved TV deals, and, everyone(clubs, players and the Premier League)were swimming in money and got more than before the new deal, but so did Scudamore himself.

****ing disgrace considering the club's don't put their hands in their pockets to subsidise supporters having to travel long distances for early and late kick off's.

He's accepted the gift now, as he obviously would.

Also staying on in a consultancy role? <laugh><doh>

Absolute joke. Can pay the already rich **** an extra £250k each but offer **** all to fans who have to face fixture changes that can put us out of pocket if we've already bought travel tickets.

Its a ****ing joke.

The guy has been earning £3m a year salary (with bonuses) for the past 10 years or more, I am sure he has a good enough private pension to keep him ticking over in his retirement. I am certain he is not going to be living off a ****ing state pension now that he has retired, and if he is, then well, its his own ****ing fault for being financially irresponsible.
Why the **** are they doing this?
I bet his "consultancy role" is going to bring him a decent salary of a couple of hundred grand a year as well.
This is a ****ing joke.....

Consultancy / contracting pays a lot better than salaried employment ... no payroll taxes <ok>

Its complete bullshit.
I am seriously rethinking my whole view on football of late.
It is starting to really piss me off.
A bunch of people being given too much money by a baying public and misusing it dreadfully.
Players wages and ticket costs are too high, meanwhile the susbcription costs for Sky and BT are only getting higher and higher.
Its bad enough that we cannot watch all the games on just Sky now, but have to have BT as well if we want to watch every televised game.
The matchgoing fans get **** all in compensation, the armchair fans get shafted in subscription fees and all so that players can earn upwards of £300,000 a week and people like Scudamore can have £3m salaries and £5m golden handshakes when they decide to pack it in. It's becoming farcical.

Now they are even hindering outside investment in football through FFP, and saying that everything needs to be self sustainable, all the time whilst ripping off Joe public and laughing in our faces......I am not sure how long I can continue to support this.

Personally I think it's the players that should've paid, as they have been the people who truly gained from it. I can undestand why people hgave got the arse about it, but it's pretty standard, and at least he has done a good job and it's not public money. You should see the golden handshakes people high up in the public sector get for being incompetent, especially in the NHS.

Funny that somebody mentions ****ing sheep and Bod turns up .....

At best it's unhealthy.
I mean I get it to a degree, HIAG is a bell end.
His actions on this board, for a man of his age, are puzzling.
But Piskie's obsession with continuously trying to one up him and make him look an even bigger dick (not that he needs much help) are similarly puzzling.
It was fun making him and Saintsfan08 go and buy Newspapers to prove they werent the same person tho <laugh>
And the whole marathon thing haha
