I guess if you are a Labour supporter than you would want a GE...problem is bob we had one and the Tory term is not finished. It's just an excuse for Labour to try and get into power ( god forbid). I heard the Labour bloke today saying we must respect the vote on 5 occasions and then said if people want a vote then okay? Idiot. Labour don't have a clue on this and should never be trusted in Brexit negotiations.I'm pretty sure he has said if his party vote for a second referendum at their conference then he would be bound by it although he would prefer a general election. You can twist the wording to suit yourself though mate, no problem.
Interesting response mate. I've no clue as to whether Labour would do any worse or better than the cock up by the Tories.I guess if you are a Labour supporter than you would want a GE...problem is bob we had one and the Tory term is not finished. I love all this "it will be hard for them but harder for us" from all our experts on here. If we leave with a no deal and don't give them the money I can see many EU countries falling to bits unless German/France bail them out which I don't believe they will do.
Crucial cabinet meeting today. May will be arguing for Chequers. Hammond for a very weak, Norway option. Majority for Canada plus, plus. Canada for me, but it'll be interesting. Could possibly see some resignations
It's a pity that neither party has yet been able to figure out what they actually want from Brexit. The disappointing thing about it all is that anything decided today will be undone immediately by politicians pursuing their own agendas and disowning what has been agreed forgetting that they signed up to it barely 5 minutes earlier. Then we will all despair when we come up short in the negotiations because the Europeans are not convinced, rightly so, what the British position is.
No one likes chequers
Why should the eu like it
No one in the UK likes may as pm
Why does anyone think the eu should treat her any differently than her own people
Has this now been set up so everyone feels sorry for her and everyone gets behind whatever the next deal she presents on her knees to the eu
Not forgetting knocking our politicians, and asking for another referendum at the meeting. The acted like the mafia in that no one leaves the club. How anyone can support them or the EU now is beyond me. They have shown exactly what they are like.
Is that share thing for quoted companies or all companies? Lots of companies have employee share ownership schemes where everyone can buy shares with untaxed income and, if they keep the shares for five years, pay no tax when they sell them. Many have shares as part of their reward packages. Mine (ok it’s American) has just given all employees who don’t get shares as part of their package about £2ks worth of shares each.Still no clarity from Labour about its position regarding a 'People's Vote' on the EU. McDonnell says they would support it if they can't get a GE, but that it should just be on whatever deal May comes back with - Deal or No Deal. Starmer, however, says that nothing is off the table - leaving open the possibility of a Remain option on the ballot. If the party position was to truly follow the wishes of its membership, No Brexit must remain on option.
Meanwhile McDonnell's speech on the economy, which will probably get less attention, focused on re-nationalisation and an interesting idea to give employees a stake in the companies they work for. A Labour party which is no longer scared to describe itself as Socialist. Good stuff.

Did McDonnell say how this will work for multinationals employing lots of Brits but with HQs outside the UK and not quoted on The FTSE?
Having just read a bit more this is a tax. Workers won’t actually own the shares, they can’t trade them, they will just be paid dividends on up to £500 worth of shares. For my company, a generous dividend payer, this would amount to about £13 a year on current shares prices. The government would get most of the money.
DT you really are sounding weird. I couldn't even bother to read your first post after the opening line. Sorry fella but you use my name too much in other posts. Get back to your walnut plantation and stop worrying about us here.Rubbish again the use of the word Mafia
Outside the U.K. it’s laughable how this thing is twisted. The U.K. is leaving no problem but will do so having lost a lot ... no idea where to begin on how much this has cost the taxpayer . We signed up and helped write the rule book and people forget that when it suits them we are no victims here but yet Brexiteers on here daily dream **** up
We are leaving we know that now get on pay the bill and at least think about post Brexit and have at least one idea to propose
What will have to happen is the Remainers will have to rebuild the country from London all over again while the rest of the U.K. moans about the costs when they all cut in

I see the government have just announced some more potential fears of a no deal brexit. Oh dear
Oh I must have missed that bit when I was reading it. Do you reckon it's those Tory ****ers bullshitting?I heard, I may have to pay an extra £1.50 to take my dog to France.![]()
I'm think it's more a case of the UK losing these benefits of being a member, rather than the EU putting rules in to action, or am I wrong?I heard, I may have to pay an extra £1.50 to take my dog to France.or even have to wait 4 months ...woof woof.
This is becoming so funny I could laugh, As if the EU would put all these stupid rules into action. People would stop holiday in France and after 5 minutes they would surrender.
Don't let the project fear worry you bob.
Without doubt bob. The Tories are now doing project fear to scare us even more. Think about it...If Labour got in we would be well and truly f222edOh I must have missed that bit when I was reading it. Do you reckon it's those Tory ****ers bullshitting?
