Out of interest I watched the foul by Bellarabi and it was brutal ........................ but SPITTING in an opponents face? Totally unacceptable from Costa.
Cannot argue with that, spitting at someone is abominable. Glad you looked at the Bellarabi thing, haven't yet checked on Rafinha as yet, but he did look in a bad way when he had to be stretchered off. These guys are fellow professionals, don't these dummy culprits realist that they might have ruined their victim's career for ever in a worst-case scenario? As you probably know, there is one foul in Ice Hockey that is from Satan himself, and that is 'spearing', and is of course not tolerated. It involves sticking the top, blunt-end of the stick into the opponents stomach, mostly at high speed. The resulting internal injuries can be devastating. If the culprit is eventually allowed back into the game, he would be so ostracized by his fellow professionals that he might as well forget it. I must emphasise that spearing just has to be intentional, there is just no way a player can do this accidentally.
Oh, on a brighter note, the Bundesliga is indeed a bit dull, think I've already mentioned this before on the forum, but every Saturday evening I ensure that I am in our front room (wife has always called it "The Lounge" - bloody hell how fesch) from 18:00 onwards to watch the replays of the day's Bundesliga games. She ranks with BayernKenny as a committed Bayern supporter. I would never dream of not attending as she really is a lovely person, and, erm, a very fine cook too
). But I do love "Match Of The Day" later-on, the Premier League is just great. Can't see League 2 games because it's shown on some weird thing called Crest, or Gold, or something which Filmon told me they'd never heard of! I therefore take it that the results in print are true and that QPR really did win an away game on Saturday. Didn't see it, so cannot ratify it.

You can usually get highlights of the Championship matches on YouTube Swanny - here is QPR's win at Bolton. Not sure about the pink kit though ............

Although my allegiance to FC Bayern Munchen is clear I do favour a few other clubs; mostly those from cities and towns where myself and Flo had especially enjoyed ourselves. In this sphere fall FC Koln, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Nurnberg, Augsburg and, of course, the once mighty 1860 Munchen. I also have a deep liking for FC St Pauli whose fan base is populated by Reeperbahn 'workers', students and left wingers like myself.
Had I turned out to be a wealthy auld tosser like Herr Beckham I would have ploughed some of my ill earned gains into a local club and hoped that Internazionale Mittenwald would have emulated Hoffenheim and rose through the pyramid to become 'Oberbayern's Team'.
SH; I am an adequate cook with a tendency to 'cremate' my beef, pork, bratwurst and burgers. I do not follow any laid down rules in the preparation of grub however, as I live the life of a 'bachelor gay', I have received no complaints.
Oddy; I am quite taken with the 'salmon' number featured above!

Day 10 of the September Tournament. There was massive test of strength between Kaisei and Tochinoshin. The Yokozuna Hakuho had to give up nearly 11 and a half stone in weight to his opponent. His unsportsmanlike behaviour though was not appreciated. He has been censored for it in the past.

Unfortunately, no live football at all on main channels in Germany. Sky are trying to take-over football on the media here. I am not the only person down here who sees no valid reason to pay Sky, when we pay a hefty licence fee already for the privilege of owning a television set, and watching it of course. Most of the time Sky just offers the same as a lot of other channels covered by the annual licence? This is a case where it has football fans by the short and curlies, must admit, especially less fortunate older ones, but they can stick it, I'll do without. Getting used to it what with a weird outfit called Quest doing the English Football League too!

Yes, much better BK, but trying to keep calm about this. Defence has finally improved. The signing of central defender Toni Leistner from Union Berlin in July, and the season-long signing of Geoff Cameron from Stoke City, might well be a couple of important reasons. They won't keep this Eze fellow past this season, man he has talent. Can bang in the goals, that's for sure.
Finally got to see snippets from the Bayern game on TV this morning. Wow, Bayern looked impressive from what I saw. The Pole (my better-half's bête noire) has finally got back to form and is earning his wages, wouldn't you say? BM has a real chance in this competition on this form. I will take it from you that the referee was not impressive!
The referee calmed down a bit once the game was won however for the first hour or so any tackle (by either side) seemed to result in a yellow card.

It seems it has sunk into his bonce that he must still show form, determination and loyalty to overcome the rubbish he produced in the Champion's League, the Bundesliga plus the World Cup from March 2018 onwards. It will however be a pity to see the fragrant Anna leave Munich! How shallow is this co-respondent.

Day 13. There were some fierce battles today. I've decided to take the Japanese commentary because of the extra information on each wrestler. By looking at the green beside each man's name, we can get an idea of how the respective fighter's fitness is doing as the tournament wears on. It's also worth looking at who they've fought too. There was one man who's had a shocking draw of late but got the job done. The second last bout of the day sees two Yokozuna clash first time in the tournament.

Day 14 and the recently promoted Ozeki Tochinoshin came into today's bout needing to win one of his last two bouts to keep his ranking. His opponent Abi. What a monstering win. I'll leave it to the film to see who gets it. This and the next three bouts, (the last of the day) were mind blowing. The clash of the Yokozuna brought the house down. Kisenosato desperatly needed the win to stave off a forced retirement. They had a titanic battle. In the last bout, Hakuho came into the match needing a win to take the Emperor's Cup. If he succeeded, he'd stretch his overall championships to 41, 9 more than anyone in the modern history of the sport. I've only caught up with this sport in the last few years, and can't believe how lucky I am to see arguably the greatest Sumo wrestler of all time.
