Midfielder Jack Wilshere says foreigners shouldn't be allowed to represent England. Has he ever heard of Chris Froome, Mo Farah, Bradley Wiggins, Kevin Pietersen, Justin Rose, Mike Catt, John Barnes, Greg Rusedski, Owen Hargreaves, Douglas Jardine, Cyrille Regis, Basil d'Oliveira, Terry Butcher etc?

Is it fair to suggest that Prince Phillip been representing the interests of England?

Wow - Dortmund 0-2 down at half time away to Leverkusen and then bang in four unanswered in the second half to move to the top of the Bundesliga. Kenny drowning your sorrows?

Canadian Football League:

"Johnny Manziel threw his first touchdown since 2015 on a flashy trick play and brought back his signature celebration."

"After a rough start to his career in the Canadian Football League, the wayward former quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies and Cleveland Browns finally found some success with his new team up north. With 13:40 remaining in the second quarter of the Montreal Alouettes' Week 16 contest against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Manziel handed the ball to a running back who passed the ball over to another player laterally. He then flipped the ball back to Manziel, who found a wide-open Adarius Bowman downfield to complete the 47-yard pass."

Main differences between CFL and NFL?

"CFL field is both longer (110 yards vs. 100 yards) and wider (something like 65 vs. 50). ... 12 men on the field for CFL, 11 for NFL. Extra guy on offense is a backfield position; on defense, it can be anything. 3 downs to gain 10 yards for a first down in the CFL; 4 downs for NFL."

Canadian Football is also a faster game, IMHO. :emoticon-0100-smile

Couldn't watch any of it, BK, can't even blame Murdoch any more either! Really buffaloed, all the free streaming sites I try warning shots about viruses keep springing up, so what to do? Must stick to my guns with Sky, but it can be hard.

Lacked pace and decision making. Ajax were able to pass their way through 'our' midfield and defence; fortunately they missed three very good second half chances and Neuer made three excellent saves from 'distance' efforts.

The above, along with Augsburg's pressing tactics and Hertha Berlin simply being a better team, have left me in the uncomfortable position of questioning Nico Kovac's tactical awareness. I feel a touch of a Quisling about these early doubts however a pertinent question (to me) is flowering in my bonce ......was Kovac appointed solely because of the performance of Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the DFB Pokal last season?

Surely Mourinho is on his way? Silly buggers probably have to pay him millions to get rid but dear me, they really couldn't win a summons at the moment

My son is a dedicated Man U fan and he has been wanting to get rid of Mourinho since his appointment was announced. He doesn't like to watch Man U playing like **** but he is comforted by the fact that it's one game closer to seeing the back of him. He hates him as a manager and disagrees with nearly everything he does. I'm sure he won't be the only one celebrating when Mourinho goes. Whatever the cost, it will be worth it. Probably cost less than whatever his next duff purchase would have cost

Will reply to both:

1. NO Mourinho at FC Bayern.
2. Seem to play well for twenty minutes then run out of ideas; of course it does not help when your opponents score two crackers!

Played crap against Augsburg, were beaten by a better Hertha Berlin team and should have been beaten by three in the Champion's League.

I think I will avoid my Koln chums next week.

Not much more to say.

Just hope one of my big priced punts roll home tomorrow at Longchamp!
