I'll be honest with you: I've always quite liked Jordan's straight-talking persona. I'd take him over Fernandes any day. Frankly, I'd take Helen Keller over Fernandes.

There's nothing in that piece that isn't true or unfair in my opinion, other than perhaps lumping Briatore and Eccleston into the equation, as they got the club into the PL, made their nice return and (presumably) left it in a then stable financial footing for Fat-**** Tony to come in and wreck.

I'm rapidly moving from labelling Fernandes a 'plucky amateur' to thinking that what the whole ****ing bunch of them have presided over is ****ing criminal. Jordan is right: just look at all the money behind Fernandes, Mittal, Bhatia, Gnamadamadingdong et al, look at their supposed business acumen, their rise to 'captain of industry' mogul status. How the ****ety-**** did they allow this bollocks to descend upon our club?

    ****s.

    I need a drink.

I think TF may of got lucky in life with his copy of the budget airline business in Asia but I am no businessman

Happy to my head that I doubted him and the journey we took under his tutelage

It stopped well before my prediction of us buying a 20m player luckily but in our time we had a few players worth that imo

Austin at his peak was pushing that figure imo Recently Smithies was worth 10m in today’s market
Simpson went on and won the Premiership FFS although we did make 2.3m out of that as he was a free ... how much was Simpson worth in the end of 2015... £17m!

We have a terrible history in mismanagement imo buy ****e and sell any assets we stumble upon for next to nothing

Contrary to how I'm coming across on this thread, Wubba, I'm feeling quite rational and calm. It just amuses me to be unnecessarily sweary when I bang away at the (****ing) keyboard. Being a (ahem) businessman, accountant, prat and investor myself, it just pisses me off that these clowns have so royally ****ed it all up. Where the hell was that one voice in that boardroom going "Stop! All this irrecoverable expenditure, **** appointments and bad signings will lead to this club's ruin?"

We are all apparently rejoicing that Armpit Bhatia-Boy (sorry) is now chairman, but where the hell has he been whilst the brown stuff was continually hitting the air-conditioning unit? Sitting in the corner in a coma?

I'm currently reading a book at the moment about how the conscious and subconscious brain works. There's an interesting chapter about how people in meetings, such as boards, end up doing 'groupthink' and how there needs to be at least one 'asshole' (its written by a Yank) present to say "No! I don't agree!"

What a bunch of useless utter bell-ends.

P.S. If Simon Jordan is interested in buying the club I'll personally carry him to Loftus Road on the end of my knob.

It would be great to think of a new era wouldn’t it I loved the fact that Jordan identified us as a London club on many occasions in that interview

Certain that a few hawks are looking at us as a project it’s West London FFS

I would like to see TF spit roasted by the village people on the bonnet of a caterham roadster in a rainbow parade to celebrate the worst business can come up with

He knew his time was done

Where will he pop up next ?

He probably will buy a company that sells VHS recorders and convert that to the Betamax system

No idea*. Just letting my fellow Rs know that I'd be prepared to take one for the team in order to ensure survival for our club. Obviously, if Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansen wish to make a counter-offer to Mr Jordan, then the offer still stands (although I'll have to make two trips).

*Just said for comedic value and to give the false impression that I had a large penis, when in fact its the size of a baby carrot.

I think you'll find that Stan can say "nice one, Ubes" to whoever he likes. He just doesn't care.

Anyway, isn't the correct term "chutney ferret"?

To be fair, I remember sitting not all that far away from the director's box when we had just thrashed Palace 4-1 and he was at his most orange. As he left and was getting a lot of good humoured banter about his team and his tan he saw the funny side and chatted to quite a few Rs fans. Since then he's had my respect particularly as he took that con-man Dowie for every penny when he tried to walk away on the pretence that his wife was ill or something like that only to join Charlton the following week. Since then I have also found myself agreeing with a lot of what he has said when interviewed. Another fan who paid the price in bucket loads to own his club and deliver them to the promised land

Well said. We often disagree and take opposite points of view but I respect your candour and willingness to admit that he is not he answer to our woes as you had hoped.

Here's a possible answer for you. The Mittals have been playing a very long game indeed because they are a bit more savvy that we give them credit for. They have been quite content to let the mayhem unfold while Tony Fernandes blew his pot of money and then persuaded his co-investors to blow theirs. The Mittals knew it would go spectacularly tits up at some stage at which point they buy the shares on the cheap rather than the silly prices which Fernandes probably paid on the basis he was buying a club destined for the Champions League. I know it sounds like cobblers and probably should be on the Conspiracy thread. But tell me why else they have held onto their stake in the club and not done anything to stop the madness. It's a win win. Either TF makes a great job of it and they take their cut of the profits or he ****s up badly and they are there to buy him out for peanuts when he decides to cut his losses after the disaster has unfolded.

ITK? No, I've watched too many soap operas and conspiracy drama series than is good for me

Or maybe they just want to make sure their son in law has something to keep him busy and away from their steel businesses.
