I found the same thing and it seemed like sensible advice.

How many times do you think they get these types of complaints, probably hundreds of times. They are cheap for a reason, they keep overheads down, that includes building in places with limited spaces. Spaces that become part of the planning permission. They are not for customers that go in buy a bottle of milk to get a free prime parking space. You was just being a cheap lazy git, who is now going to argue his way out of £90 quid fine. The good outcome in all this for Lidl even if you win your appeal, is you will never do it again, and you are making others aware of the consequences of being a cheap skate lazy barsteward. Did you not notice the big fook off signs when you drove in, did you not notice the cameras or is your name Stevie Wonder.

33 mins late as it turns out but damn right I'm appealing, I give them my custom I should be able to park there as long as I want. They are money grabbing so I'll appeal and hopefully pay **** all.

Was their letter to you dated within 15 days of the 'offence' - if not you can get them on a technicality?

When I had one from a well know parking firm, I wound them up for months, before they gave up.

How exactly did you "wind them up for months"?

  18. The only ones who can screw you are local councils that have their parking restrictions enshrined in bye-laws.

Unless the ticket is issued by a local authority, then it's a private matter, and the owner will have to take you to court in order to prove that you entered into a contract with him to park on his land for an agreed fee. As others have said, ignore every letter they send; eventually, they will get bored.

  19. Okay.

    Fair enough.

    Next time, simply ignore them.

I'm clearly going to respond as it was easy to overturn. No point ignoring when I now know a quick email sorts it.
