The EU is relying on those with delicate souls and a defeatist attitude to bully the UK into a corner. Hopefully we can come up with leaders who have a semblance of a backbone.
You should ask the 80% of businesses that do not trade with the EU. Supporters of multinational companies are normally thin on the ground on these threads. The CBI was part of project fear and wanted the UK to join the dreaded Euro. Best not to take too much notice of them.

Thankfully TM has given the hard liners enough time to show their position is untenable and has now come round to a far more sensible approach - a soft brexit. Your assessment of the civil servants involved is completely different to that experienced by the Brexit minister. Steve Baker said to the ST "It does appear to me that there has been a year's worth of cloak and dagger to land us into the Chequers position. The large amount of subsidy we give to Brussels cannot be compared with GDP. It will be the intense inter member wrangling on who pays and receives what. They are already squabbling, if a black hole appears expect this to rapidly intensify.

Yes, our contribution is extremely important to the EU, wait until there is a shortfall before downplaying the impact. They are already bitching with each other even before the subsidies end.
It does not matter what May tells her MPs, most realise she has colluded with the establishment to undermine the democratic result. She has taken the easy option as far as the EU is concerned but they will she join the other groups in undermining her position in the near future. Under May’s proposal we’d be leaving the EU, including the single market and the customs union, we’d no longer fall under the ECJ’s jurisdiction and free movement would end. The idea that this somehow undermines an in / out referendum is absolutely preposterous. Those claiming that Leave meant exactly the same thing to 17.4m are being completely dishonest. What you and they really mean is that YOU’RE not getting what YOU wanted, there’s a World of difference.
Since May's disastrous proposal, which will only get worse after the EU has had its response, Tory support has nosedived. Her own MPs will be queuing up next week to argue against her fudge. She will not get it through parliament, full stop.

As he pointed out Slovakia is building a production plant for Jaguar Land Rover twice the size that is needed for current production plans. Spain is doing likewise for the Nissan production plant. JLR could move their entire production out of the UK within four months. Nissan is set up to be moved within three months. It has finally dawned on the UK government that somehow they have to protect that industry, and there are others, that rely on just in time supply chains. Looking at the current proposals they are an attempt to guard against large companies that employ thousands directly, and many more indirectly leaving the country while nothing is clear. It looks to him that reality is kicking in, and the leave campaign, based on wishful thinking is being slowly ditched. Just how far the wild men of the right are prepared to push things remains to be seen, and they will have to reflect on if they wish to remove the PM and probably see her reelected.
