George Best & many more before you come to many in that list.

It’d make a good pub debate but most would agree with “Rooney. FFS”.

 

Of all the British players I would put Best second in that list, behind John Charles.

I suggest you look at what the post was about, Quill. Every player of the ones quoted had played at a World Cup Finals. It was about players who hadn't won one.

There's no doubting the young Everton star was heading in a 'World Class' trajectory, but at manchester united Rooney plateaued.
