At least VAR was in use today, I'm 99% convinced that there was no VAR on the england game. Dont recall seeing the ref touching his ear or making any indications of a decision being checked. Possibly some tech problem that they didn't want to highlight. Bet we won't see that again in the next game.

No VAR at the England game....I wasn't even convinced there was a referee half the time.

There was Var. They even referred to it when Kane was wrestled to the ground, but missed what the whole world saw.

That game involved one of the most inept refereeing displays ever, but was it still no advert for Var.

Three fallible humans on the pitch are enough, no need for additional ones in a video room.

It also applies if they are all celebrating in their own half. Iirc there was some video that went viral of a team all running to their own corner flag for some organised celebration and the other team kicked off and scored whilst they were doing it.
