Didn’t Evra make a patronising comment about Eni Aluko, the other day? I can imagine the uproar if someone had acted like that towards a black pundit, rather than a woman.
Just saw it. Understandably Bednarek clearly had no idea he was there. You dont watch for players that arent on the pitch....
Ha. Hell of a game, fair play to them. Absolutely smashing it so far - and their own fans and media were slaying them pre-tournament apparently!
I agree, but Kane was rock bottomed last night by the Tunisian guy and yet wasn’t given as a foul but yet they can reverse that decision for Egypt, it’s laughable.
I'd much rather they went on the side of caution, and 1 out of 3 is better than 0 out of 3. it could also be that they've learned something from their mistakes.
There’s nothing anyone can say regarding the challenge on Kane to make me see things any differently. It should of been given without the help of VAR, but being able to review the incident and still not give it as a penalty is simply not acceptable.
Still feel he should have been more aware and could have possibly got to it before Niang if he had been alert.
At least VAR was in use today, I'm 99% convinced that there was no VAR on the england game. Dont recall seeing the ref touching his ear or making any indications of a decision being checked. Possibly some tech problem that they didn't want to highlight. Bet we won't see that again in the next game.
