I don’t think there is any intention to pay anyone above what they would normally offer. You have a 10 to 15 million player leaving for nothing. Where’s the sense in the way they deal with players ? . Also what is Darnborough employed for. Why can’t they just do one if there is no interest in the club. Not disputing anyone who says he will or has 'information' but I have no doubt he will be using this as a negotiation tactic to get a better deal. It would be daft for him to tie himself down so early in the transfer window. Someone will panic and offer him a fortune.

I was sort of basing it on 60k p/w for 5 years plus bonuses, 'though admittedly, just speculation.
If it is much lower, emphasises my point that no top clubs were interested.
