Been confirmed that 2 policemen were injured when objects thrown at City coach. Don't understand these morons....what has supporting a team got to do with risking seriously injuring players, officials, or fans. You could cause an injury that would ruin someone's life.

I assume that is self-styled. My experience of Liverpool fans is based on friends and family who are, in the main, season ticket holding fanatics. They can bore for England on all things football, and I'm dreading the millisecond by millisecond analysis I will be getting in the next few days. But chucking stuff at coaches? Every town and city has its nutters. I would lay money that the attacks came from well oiled "fans" about to retreat back to the ale-house to watch the match,where they would have made regular punters feel intimidated.

It is time fans rallied round and dobbed these fools in. It’s like flares in grounds, someone knows who and where the idiots are sat when it happens. Let’s Be brave and report it. If I saw the person do that, I’d note the seat and row and report them. It has to stop.

Still trying to work out what "sobbing" means in this context!

Agree with the sentiment. I reported someone once. A bloke next to me was hurling racist abuse throughout the first half of a game. At half time I had a word with a steward who gave me a "what do you expect us to do about it?" shrug. He even laughed when I told him what had been said. So I told a copper who did call the guy out second half and evict him.

Being brave requires stewards who are up to the job.

Wonder if Manchester City have any grounds to appeal to have the tie replayed due to the conduct of Liverpool´s fans having interrupted Manchester City´s pre-match preparations, which undoubtedly affected the performance of City´s players?
 
When I heard the idea of creating an intimidating atmosphere on the way in I thought fantastic idea! Probably an unpopular opinion but I love watching flares and smoke bombs if used properly although sadly they can be troublesome for the breathing of some people. However the idiots that started throwing cans and whatever else ruined the idea and took it a step to far...

I doubt that they will appeal, but it did cross my mind that being alarmed shortly before a match is far from ideal....producing an adrenaline rush and feelings of anger. Hard to prove that it had any effect, but it probably did.

Which either sits or reports on 31 May. Either way it's not going to impact on this season.

It can seem harsh to hold a club responsible for "fans" outside of the ground, but maybe it is the only way to stop this kind of madness. In which case it's got to hurt. Throwing them out of the CL now would be the only appropriate punishment, but it won't happen. I'm not advocating that it should, but anything else is meaningless.

I don't think the club can be held responsible can they? Is it not the remit of the police?

Personally I think it was ****ing idiotic publishing the route change.
