I think Adkins throwing Macdonald under the bus was a shameful act, obviously he thinks this is a pro who he can belittle. I reckon him and Meyler have fallen out, can see Meyler telling him exactly what he thinks of him. Adkins is the greasiest snake oil merchant of a manager I've ever seen at City
Sad times to be a City fan. Am praying we get sold soon and a new manager in, even if it takes relegation to clear all these people out of the club
Is Meyler due a bonus if he plays another game? I can't see why else he wouldn't feature in our current circumstances.
Oh while we are at it. Bowen is obviously a talented player playing in a poor team, and that volley was sublime, but his first touch and lack of awareness really lets him down sometimes. First thing he does when he gets the ball at his feet is put his head down. What
I don't understand what he is trying to achieve by singling out an individual like that , does he think Macdonald will be motivated by it ? The other players ? Will he be picking him next game ? This is his own signing as well (or is it?)
Maybe Max would be better suited to that midfield role Henriksen was supposed to play last night. I thought Clark did ok last night and he put in a couple of decent crosses. Unfortunately he was woefully exposed by a woeful ashamedly poor performance by Grosicki.
Neither can his team mates. Maybe pass incompletion is the only part of a training regime they have passed with aplomb.
I just remember him marking Barnsley's 6ft 5 centre-forward who was like a tank, and being shouted out by Adkins for not being 'strong enough' to win headers against him. Shake my head.
Don't think this team is easily good enough for mid-table. Apart from Moses they are all available now. I've not been to impressed with Kingsley, Weir, Henriksen, Stewart or Keane. Campbell I like but is injury prone, Dicko great runner and worker but needs to add more goals to his game. We would need to add half a team to this lot otherwise another struggle.
What I'd give for Faye right now, can't remember who we played at home, but he got man of the match and headed absolutely everything. Also if your a manager and inept enough to not put the ball in and around that back line of Millwalls you don't deserve to win, instead just hoof it to Dicko against the 9ft giant. May I also ask whose idea was it to leave Dawson back at corners? Was it meant to outwit Millwall, unbelievable.
The Fail, referring to Abel's performance last night, after coming on as a sub: "A few dubious early touches can be put down to ring rust". https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/abel-hernandez-caps-return-starman-1309459
