Still a bit puzzled as to why he(Adkins) decided to have a go MacDonald so publicly, yes he was poor, but so were several others, (strange he made no mention of Dawson's or Clarks part in Millwards first goal) set me wondering was "our Nigel" having a go at our phantom head of recruitment and was MacDonald not a player of his choosing , also at no part during his interview post match did he accept any blame for the performance that was served up, to be honest, i only think things are going to get worse before they get better.

When will our defence win a header? Dawson gets beat in the air time after time. McDonald was blowing after the first minute.

Every time that’s Cooper, Gregory or Elliott win a header there hands where all over us, but we are so weak.

Thought Henriksen had a decent game to be fair but Larsson wasn’t at it at all. Midfield is like a siv.

The whole problem lies with one man or two obviously.
I'm now of the firm opinion that they had a gigantic stroke of luck in getting Steve Bruce to come here, I realise that other football people at the club at that time played a major role in getting him, I also recall the old man stating, in a sickly joking manner, at how expensive he was shortly after he'd appointed him. History will state that he took us to the PL, to our first ever - and probably last - FA Cup final, and into Europe (yes I know).

Then the idiot son takes over. What we have now are no marks such as Darnborough and the like, appointed by the idiot offspring. We appoint our managers as head coaches because the idiot ehaw clearly sees himself as the one that's 'managing' the club. Great job he's doing!

We are only heading in one direction.

I thought he did alright last night, he's just not quick enough and tends to slice a few balls into touch every game.

He does because he lacks the required composure at times. I don't think you could find anyone that reckons he's a championship left back but he could do a job now and then with injuries etc. But people critique him as if he's another Robertson when in reality if we were a well run football club he'd have been released or loaned out to a league 2 club.

We are only heading in one direction.

Ehab Allam's inability to trust SB has led to our vertical descent.

League 1 is a real possibility this season, and even if we stay up, will next season be any better?

The club is sick and toxic from top to bottom.

2 absentee owners who have all the power. No direction, no clue, no interest.

It will only get worse.

Not sure you can criticize the tactics and formation so much. Lots of teams play with a lone striker, if the team gets it right the striker is never isolated, they have the no.10 to play off, or a winger cuts inside, its not a case of having 1 upfront so he's on his own.

We've needed a system for years and other than Bruce's 3 at the back, this is the most settled formation we've had in a while... i would stick with it.

What Adkins does need though is a settled first 11 which he hasnt had. If we can keep Hernandez and Wilson fit, a front 3 with Bowen is perfect going forwards. Larrson and Irive in midfield with either Evandro or Toral behind the strikers... the defense sorta picks itself.

I agree with whats been said regarding Adkins post match comments, he's too positive sometimes and last night when he finally says something negative its focused on 1 player, MacDonald.. Yes he was poor first half but players have had much worse games previously and Adkins hasnt said a thing. He needs to be more consistent with that.

Unfortunately for Adkins many of the players he has at his disposal arnt playing for the shirt or arnt good enough. They're either on loan from a better club or have their eyes set on a move in the summer. It's not a settled group of players due to contracts etc and all of this cant be easy to manage.

For me he's doing the best he can do in a bad situation. If everything was rosy at the club and we were still playing like this then yes, slag the manager off... but i dont think its fair to do so with all thats going on.

I don't think Adkins wants a settled first eleven. He says himself he will change things around for the next match whatever the next match is regardless of injuries.

Thought about that, **** as Burton are (marginally ****ter than us) maybe City give him fewer chances to play?

Burton actually play football as well, or try to, as oppose to City's one and only tactic:

CB punt into corner, see what happens.

I think they will get worse before the get 'worserer'. 'Better' is light years away.

Assuming we stay up, and Bowen and Kamil go, next years XI still looks decent on paper:

Marshall
Moses
Mazuch
MacDonald
Kingsley
Weir
Toral / Henriksen
Stewart
Irvine
Campbell / Keane
Dicko

Even without any strengthening that’s easily good enough for mid-table. Makes our current plight all the more ridiculous. On paper I’d say it’s better than what we started the promotion season under Brown with!

Haven’t got a ****ing clue who captain is though. No obvious candidate at all. Mazuch?

Out of that XI I'd give it to Moses, purely because he's the longest server there.
