It's funny as earlier I was thinking we should sign the same player and now it may happen. It would be better business signing Baldock for £2m than Maynard or Rodriguez for £6m. Would be very happy if this came true, at St Mary's last year he was very lively and quick, and he's a good finisher. Karl Robinson also said that he thinks Baldock could play in the Premier League, but I'm not going to get too excited until its on the OS as West Ham may come back with another bid.

Or maybe NC turns into some sort of Jig Saw type character, and potential signings have to weasel their way out of traps before they sign for us....

"To get into the building...you must first leave the building"...he's crackles over a tanoy, yikes!

From the Telegraph:

£2m Baldock is out of this world

"West Ham United made what they considered to be a knockout £2 million offer for the young MK Dons striker Sam Baldock this week only to be left stunned after being informed they have been out-bid by another club for the 22 year-old. Baldock is highly-promising and was watched by West Ham manager Sam Allardyce as he scored a hat-trick against Chesterfield last weekend.

But more than £2million? Little wonder English clubs trawl the world for talent.

Still it’s interesting that West Ham have not been gazumped by a Premier League club but one that is vying with them for promotion from the Championship — namely Southampton. But then they did manage to get £12  million from Arsenal — much to the astonishment of United who dropped out of the bidding when they knew what Arsène Wenger would pay — for another young Englishman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain."

How are you so certain he will sign tomorrow then DTLW? Keep saying it on twitter...

Oh yeah just seen her Twitter. As much as I'd love us to sign Maynard or Jayrod, I don't agree with us paying £6m or £7m for them so I'd be very happy with Baldock signing for £2m.

Let's hope he chooses Saints :)

Adkins on Player saying a lot and at the same time very little..his speciality. Almost said that press speculation didn't help Fontaine negotiations and referred to Gorkss as only an alleged target. Said Puncheon was no nearer and no further from a move. Mentioned development squad's win against Brentford and Harlee Dean and Sam Hoskins (goal scorer) in particular.
