Can't remember where it was but I had a fillet steak, may have been lucca, and they brought it on a roof slate!! It was cold. I was fuming.

I hope you sent it back!
Edit. That roof slate stuff is all bollocks. What's wrong with a plate?

Agreed, although Joe at the Hotham Arms does a cracking Chateaubriand.

Love a large glass of Chateaubriand with a steak.

I made some bloody lovely pancakes last night with neither of the top two ingredients.

I actually remembered Pancake day yesterday for the first time in ages.

I made two different sorts Smoked Salmon with a Citrus Cream Cheese and Feta, Rocket, Thyme, Pistachios and Honey. You can take the boy from Hessle Road but you can't take the Hessle Road out of the boy!

I had 5.

3 with the required lemon juice and sugar.

One covered to hell with maple syrup.

Another one stuffed with peanut butter.

Loved it.

Steak and onions before. I was well stuffed.

When I was a little kid me Mam told me that the Lion on the tin of Golden Syrup had been killed by all those bee's because it'd eaten pancakes when it wasn't Pancake day! Scared the **** out of me, although, to be fair I did stop asking for pancakes everyday.
