I know all about dismantling due to what has happened at Saints in recent years, but there is a football food chain and if someone bigger seriously comes in for your players then it will be hard to keep them. Sure you can get big fees and invest the money, but keeping hold of some of the players Spurs have got is going to be very hard in the next 6 to 18 months.

Everyone loses players, everyone, Arsenal just lost their best one a few weeks ago. United chucked one out only to buy him back for 90 mill. We won't be losing Kane or Poch though

I agree with Kane, he seems far too stupid to realise what he could do.

Poch I am not so sure about, not saying he will be off in the summer or anything like that but if one of the teams on the next rung up the food chain comes in then I can see him going, just a question of if they do.

There’s no such thing as an ‘easy’ game against Juve.

That was the first time they’ve conceded a goal in 2018 ffs <laugh>

It’ll be a tight game at Wembley and the tie is still anyone’s to win.

That's the first time they've played anyone decent either.

Juventus only hope is if they nick a goal and can sit on it all night. And even then I don't think they are good enough to stop Spurs scoring.

They just don't have the players in their team to deal with Spurs possession game. The thing that makes Spurs a threat too, and the big reason why Madrid took Juvetus apart in last years final, is that Spurs have a plan B. Barca where to predictable and ended up running out of ideas. Juve can't deal with versatile teams who have the players to mix it up.

Dybala coming back will help, and if I where the coach I'd give Marchissio a game, as he can get on the ball and dictate the play a lot better than Kheidira can. But I still think Juve are massively up against it now. And il be expecting a comfortable aggregate win for Spurs.

Poch and Plan B? Oxymoron surely.

Too stupid?

Mate, he's at Spurs not Southampton

I mean that they have strong physical players that can mix it up. Spurs can cross balls into the box, as Kanes a big aerial threat. Barcelona never had that option.

The likes of Dembele, who was the best player on the park last night, and Alli are also very physically strong players. Juve can't bully them off the ball.

That's why Real Madrid took them apart last year, as they aren't a 1 dimensional side like Barcelona where against them. They can mix it physically with Juventus, and outplay them, which is what Spurs did to them last night.

Yeah and the difference between Spurs and Southampton is nothing compared to Spurs and Utd/Real/City or whoever else Kane has been linked to.

If he wants to stay loyal then fine, but if he wants to regularly win things he will have to leave. You can throw in doubling his wages if you want but he doesn't seem like that sort of guy.

United are still the only English side to win both the CL and PL, in the same season, and we've done it twice. That's what defines greatness for me.

How can you call yourself champions of Europe, if your not even champions of England.

If you spoke to any Bayern, Real or Barca fan, they too would agree that the greatest sides they've had won both the league and the CL.

Wether Man City can join that club this season remains to be seen, but I wouldn't bank on it<ok>

So Busby's win in 68 doesn't count then, due to Utd not winning both the big cup and the league title in the same season.
Great logic.<laugh>, but as it was Utd no doubt Busby's win gets special status in your estimation.
You do know that if your definition had have been correct Utd couldn't have won it in 99, because they weren't champions when they qualified for that seasons tournament.:emoticon-0105-wink:
