The table is pretty mental tbh If we'd held on we'd be 6th, if we'd lost badly (it would have to have been by like 6 goals) then we'd have been 20th. We're 4 points ahead of the cut off for dropping out entirely so probably a good point. Would be nice to finish top 8 but I'd have snatched your arm off for top 24 before it all started.
Think I heard that if we get 1 more point we're guaranteed to progress (it would put us 5 points above the line with 2 games but due to the different combinations of teams playing each other they couldn't all get 11 points etc). As it is, with our goal difference, we're presumably 99% or so likely to go through. Past experience tells me Newcastle will do our best to make that 1% happen. Next game is home to PSV. A reliable source tells me they're the sort of team you should beat at home without breaking a sweat.
