There are no wingers in the modern game can we at least make that clear

Is everyone on here a Dinosaur?
I’m 57 today. I think I qualify as a dinosaur. Stegosaurus probably.

‘Wingers’ might not stick to the touch line any more, but I think there are plenty of modern wingers around - Shaqiri, Salah, Robben

We seem to be asking for that traditional winger to hug the line, beat his man and get balls into the box for the likes of Smith. But that kind if wing play seems to have gone out of the game, so i dont see it as a strictly Ollie or QPR issue. Pav aside who could we truly rely on in a traditionally winger role.

To be totally honest, and I’m sure some will slag me off for it, but I’m getting numb to it all now and quite often couldn’t give a **** if we lose.....sad but true, I’m more often looking forward to getting home :(

Only just seen the highlights. From the descriptions on here, the highlights flatter us because it looks like we had three or four half chances in front of goal which means we must have got the ball there in the first place.

As for Tony's tweets, I will put my head above the parapet so the anti TF members can take a pot shot at it!

Why do the past failures and misery equate to not being able to look to the long term from now onward and by 'now' I mean the era since we've been practising austerity?

The failures, mis-management and wasted money are well known to us all but it is possible that 'they' have learned from all of that and are trying to move in the right direction over a number of seasons from the time that the 20k weekly wage was set? I am well aware that the current situation with the quality of players, position in the league and (for some) the manager seem to fly in the face of 'long term success' but isn't that the nature of 'long term'? Anyone whose ever run a business knows about the lean times.

There is one thing that would make me reconsider TF's stated 'long term' intent and that is any faint whiff of rumour that TF was planning to sell. Let's face it, from the business point of view that would be the correct thing to do if you could find someone to give you a fair price and take on the FFP. He has not done that - and I don't think he could keep it a secret if he did - and because of that I am still prepared to see what his 'long term' brings. As others have mentioned he has previous form in that with Caterham.

Fire away!!

I reached that stage sometime through the Redknapp era mate, and have struggled to drag myself out of it. No shame.

Thank you Beth. Just sipping Prosecco tonight, I was overserved consistently last week and suffered as a consequence. I’m a bit jet lagged and the boy is working today, so we will be heading out sometime in the week. Hence being on here, while the pork crisps up.

As I’m finishing off my umpteen page essay on the heart and cardiovascular system

How's it going mate, did you start on Monday? I used to really enjoy attending the medical courses I had to do every three years and learning about the human body.
