I agree I wasn’t. I referred to his performance in the PL and I made that very clear. I also thought we needed someone better to drive the midfield, I still do. He has done okay and I won’t denigrate that for a cheap point - I’m pleased he is able to enjoy his season.

I thought his mojo had left him in respect of dead balls - I’m far from convinced it hasn’t. I thought that in a decent midfield he might be the weakness- we haven’t got a decent midfield and I’m can’t qualify my opinion because of that.

In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is King - not you, GLP, but perhaps Larsson, in a decent team and a much better Championship (which we have experienced) would not stand up to scrutiny.

I have never made comment on this for many months, as I appreciate that every dog has it daub- even old dogs learning nearly new tricks. :emoticon-0100-smile

Fair play, he has played well this season for us though. As I did state, he hasn't had much competition.

Reactions: Der Alte
I believe you actually said he wasn't good enough to play in our midfield, left our defenders exposed, was over the hill, that you were an expert on Sunderland and Chazz was a ****. <laugh>

As usual, your recollection isn’t spot on, or was it a joke? In which case, arf...

Let’s have a review of Larsson:

He has been too slow for the wing
He has been our best midfielder (that’s not saying a lot then)
He has sometimes been our best player (that’s not...)
The dead ball specialist was trumped by Bowen
His penalties are interesting...

I’m pleased he won friends because, of all things, he’s an honest player.

I thought we should have had better and I wasn’t too far wrong.

The injuries to Ondrej Mazuch (hamstring) and Markus Henriksen (ankle) both described as "bad ones" by Adkins.

Shame about Mazuch but not overly fussed about Henriksen being out. I dont wish injury on any player but we'd be better off without him in the first 11 IMO...
