They didn't do it when Rooney's wage was upped to similar figureHow long before the rest of the players there want to hold the club to ransom and demand ridiculous wages lol

No you've got that wrong mate. Cafu himself called him the red Cafu.
I can't believe how much the kid has matured in his whole game, within such a short period. No more rash tackles, simply passing, good runs, ability to play good diagonal balls.
A future Liverpool star if he carries on like this![]()
His style of play made him a bit of a fan fav for a while, what he lacked in ability he made up for in determination. Once Klopp arrived it was clear he didn't want him.http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/163124-cafu-i-see-my-style-of-play-in-jon-flanagan
Cafu said you guys were calling him that first!
Anyway look how crazy you were all about him!

@Skylarker for you mate
They can **** off.Inter Milan make their move for Daniel Sturridge - but they want a loan rather than a permanent deal [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]

His loan spell didn't go well and he can't get near the team now.
He isn't a great defender and not great going forward, he may get into some PL teams but not at the top end.

yeah, its clear klopp doesn't want him.
I'm putting his lack of development down to chance (like all the players chelsea don't play)![]()
He had a chance on loan and got benched there as well.yeah, its clear klopp doesn't want him.

Being pedantic like ... some called him the scouse Cafu. Cafu called him the red Cafu.http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/163124-cafu-i-see-my-style-of-play-in-jon-flanagan

Anyway not sure where you're going with the thread link. He came back from injury and looked good - I remember the cheers when he tackled Sterling - but that's as maybe, we're all incensed with the assault on his girlfriend which has nothing to do with his footballing ability or lack thereof![]()

So far you've compared him to Azipilicueta and Kane. You on something?Agreed. Dunno why you are even bringing that in, this whole debate was on whether he was any good.
He was good enough to be called the scouse cafu (at the time).
that's a fair point although that doesn't necessarily mean he's failed. Some people fail to break through. Harry Kane is an example, loaned out numerous times but didn't make the breakthrough until Sherwood gave him a chance in the europy

When azpi first joined chelsea, he was just a solid reliable defender with good work rate.
Nowadays he's an excellent defender with great work rate but is still technically average. He's terrible as a wingback because he doesn't have the attacking play to go with it but he's rock solid (admittedy he's got a few assists crossing deep to morata) but he isn't that comfortable on the ball.
Flanno could have been your azpi

The Carra reference will get you shoot.i've said he could have gone onto bigger and better things. Obviously he had great form at one point.
Dave came in a solid player and now is our best defender. Probably wouldn't be half the player but could have been a decent one like carragher.
Kane was an example of loan and first team opportunities gone wrong. It was again another example not a direct comparisson![]()

Because we're only talking about him at all because of the court case.Agreed. Dunno why you are even bringing that in, this whole debate was on whether he was any good.

He's your top assister isn't he? Better than Hazard!
