What is obvious to some is not obvious to others. I think he suffers from certain levels of delusion and genuinely believes what he's doing on the pitch works, even when things clearly goes tits up. I won't go through examples as i'm sure you and many others are very well aware of them on this forum, we've done them to death!
I think it's delusional to suggest he cares more about arsenal than himself. His past glories need to stop giving him such an easy ride from, despairingly, still so many people.

Wenger has lost his edge and can no longer compete with the top teams. He's tries his best, but his best is not good enough any more. It's time for him to move on. But again, saying he 'doesn't want what's best for the club' is utter bollocks <ok>

He lost his edge over a decade ago. He actively wasn't good enough to manage arsenal about a year or so after that. He should have moved on at that point. Eight years later and only now do you think he's just about lost his edge. Ridiculous.

Saying Wenger wants what's best for the club is utter bollocks<ok>

<doh>

Not hard this is it?

Let's just leave it as I disagree with you then that Wenger doesn't want what's best for the club. Because this is going nowhere.
I think he does want what's best for the club, but no longer has the skills or tenacity to deliver. You think he's just there for an easy pay cheque. <ok>

Saying he 'doesn't want what's best for the club' is total bollocks. Simple.
I don't believe for one minute that Wenger doesn't want what is best for Arsenal -it's just that he's too stubborn to see that it's not necessarily going to be achieved his way and the board seem ill-equipped or not prepared to do anything about it. It's sad that he has stayed too long and is in danger of ruining his legacy. He needs to go now with some dignity intact.

While that is all true... that's not all of it. The reason I'm so wound up about this and your viewpoint is because your viewpoint s what I see being mirrored at board level and why we're in this embarrassing and disgraceful ****pit of a situation. The tolerance of complete and utter longterm ineptitude and an attitude of 'oh well, he's probably just about lost his edge (WTF SERIOUSLY?!) but what a guy eh, all those good times, let's allow him to do what he wants and go on his own terms...' ****ing bullshit.

The guy is a currently a disgrace to Arsenal FC.

Far too late for that.

You can get as wound up about my 'viewpoint' as much as you want fella and it's going to make diddly ****ing squat of difference. Personally I don't share the board's view and I've called it out on many an occasion, going right back to them ousting David Dein. So your assumptions are wide of the mark anyway. <ok>

We'll see how little difference more toxicity makes. He commented on it last season. It's about the only thing that can make a difference.

You don't share the board's biew but you still tolerate all the **** all the same

Irrelevant response to my comment <ok>

Whether people think Wenger is out for himself or whether people think he has the club's interests at heart...what difference does it make?

Either way, he's not getting the best from his players and is selling our best player(s) to domestic rivals. This seems like an all too familiar story that isn't ending.

We are a disgrace.

Does he really decide who to sell them to or do the board decide to get some money back from anywhere they can?
