Here's what Krueger said in the Telegraph
“I am ultimately responsible for where we are today,” said Krueger. “Knock my head off first. I think Mauricio has dealt with the [Van Dijk] situation brilliantly. He never used it as an excuse. He’s not an excuse guy and we like the human being he is, the coach he is, and the potential for our squad moving forward with him in the lead".
I am knocking more then one head off

Kreuger was correct in pointing out that fault can lie in several places, but it is still necessary to recognise which bit lies where and decide what to do about it. He appears to have confidence in Mauricio....ok...that's his call. Therefore we need an injection of players....because there are no other options.

Have to say that whether Mauricio makes the wrong calls or not, blame must be shared with the players. They are not robots placed on the pitch and reacting to programming....they are supposed to be professional experienced PL players. They do have some autonomy.

Kat is silent to though. If you are annoyed at Gao then be annoyed at Kat as well.

Well indeed, but she does only have 20%. My original point though was that I didn't understand why Kat sold Saints to Gao if he doesnt have the money/ or wont invest in Saints to push us forward, especially given that she still holds an interest in Saints. We don't know he wont yet, but the silence isn't encouraging.

TBF...people moan when nothing is done and when something is done. Get togethers can have a positive effect....make people see themselves as part of the solution rather than part of the problem. Anything that is a change rather than the same thing all the time.

If he speaks to the players like he speaks to us, then god help them.

Well if this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will...

Bit laughable when he says that Les Reed has been a manager too - he was a disaster at Charlton. I don't think its the players morale that needs boosting off the pitch, its Pellegrino's tactical and management ability on it that needs to change.

I don't buy Kat still having equal power.

I fail to see any reason whatsoever why a successful businessman would spend circa £200m on a 80% stake in a business that they don't have full control over.

Sorry but that doesn't seem the workings of a successful businessman and I simply don't buy it.

Like I said she very much has equal power still. She has some sort of veto written in the contract between her and Gao. Kat very much still part of the discussions they have. Gao won't have complete say until Kat deems him suitable to take on all the club.

It is only until Kat is happy with what Gao is doing. Why do you think Krueger etc kept saying partnership?

He has full control; he owns 51% (more than).

Yeah precisely but Beefy is saying Kat had something written into the contract to say she has a veto or effectively has as much control as him.

Just saying that I don't buy that personally.

Anyone else considered that this “lunch” is actually a bollocking?

A message that says that the ego has left and last season those disenchanted players got their wish of the manager going.... but this time that ain’t happening!!!

No more excuses?

More than likely I'd say.

I’ve just read what Beefy posted. That’d be very unusual and if it is true, then it will have a time limit on it. What happens if Kat seems him not right for us? She buys him back out? I can’t see that personally.
