Ha, I'm off to the Caribbean in a few months. Not arsed about the journey, when you hit the beaches and ocean, it's worth every minute you spend on the plane.

It sounds like you are stuck with Tenerife, then.

I stayed at Sandals in Ocho Rios when I went, regretted not staying Montego Bay. Not as if you could go for a night out either about 2 hours apart.

We climbed up a waterfall like that was canny.

There’s nothing to do outdoors that end mate, we had a wander out and the locals were friendly as **** but it was a bit intimidating, proper Big gangs of them and very few tourists. I had to ride it out to be the man in front of bird but it was a bit sketchy.

Haha snap!

I tell everybody, I've been in some situations in life. Dangerous situations. Nothing compares to what I felt strutting about a Jamaican neighbourhood off the beating track. They looked at me like I was an alien and then the whistles started and they all started to come to the front of their houses. Like you, I was flapping inside but I knew I had to just carry on walking acting like I didn't give a ****. Mental.

Did you get in any cars with randoms? The lads from the hotel were sorting allsorts of 'private excursions' for me, usually already about 6 people in the car when they picked me up ha. The security guards at the front of the hotel made me sign a waiver in the end to say they weren't responsible for me.

Haha,

Everything was included in terms of transport etc mate the hotel side was frankly magnificent, it’s just that sitting in and about the hotel every night, regardless of the quality, it ain’t the same.

Like I say they were actually friendly and I think they appreciated us actually venturing out, it’s just they are all ****ing huge, and even when they are being friendly they are naturally boisterous.

We just ventured out that one night, ha.

This wasn't organised transport mate. It was the hotel workers mates picking me up in cars that were falling to bits and taking me places. It's like they're your guide for the day, give them 30 us dollars and pay for their food and drinks, they'll look after you. They took me to a place called Brown Town (I think), a little town with a loads of huts (shops), a few locals were trying to come over to me but the driver would just stand in front of me and wave them away. If the lads who worked at the hotel got caught organising stuff like that they'd be sacked on the spot. Money really does talk in that country, I've known nothing like it. I reckon you'd get away with murder if you were rich enough.
