Simple really, anyone got any top tips for anywhere in Europe that’s gonna be warm in January away from the usual? It’s cold as **** so we are trying to book somewhere but the Canaries isn’t making me wanna book, any other hidden hot spots within 4 hours I may have missed? I know this board loves there getaways, and I can’t be chewed with long haul at minute!
Aye he is isn’t he, haha. I never get beyond Costa del Sol and Ibiza short haul so I’m a bit stumped. Google only gets you so far!
Me aunty used to have a house over there. The guy who trained Ronaldo lives there still, apparently he's a lovely bloke. Spend a day trying to find him, I'm sure your lass will love it.
Haha, I’m sure! Just had a look like doesn’t look bad but might be a bit quiet, the issue is it’s basically Canaries or Caribbean and Mexico that time of year and I can’t be arsed with a 10 hour flight.
Ha, I'm off to the Caribbean in a few months. Not arsed about the journey, when you hit the beaches and ocean, it's worth every minute you spend on the plane. It sounds like you are stuck with Tenerife, then.
Cyprus or Malta? December temperatures for both are around 19C. Flight time to Cyprus, about and a half hours I think. Malta's around 3 - 3.5 hours.
Me and the missus went there and it was probably the nicest island we have been on but then it was the middle of summer and boiling so that doesn't help you one jot.
Is there much to do mate? I like to get out and about and explore a bit, I can only sit for so long, ha.
January you will need to head south for warmth. There will be nowhere on mainland Europe that could guarantee warm sunshine in midwinter.
I don't know about night life we go walking but i don't know about the center of Funchal it looks lively.
Aye not necessarily nightlife but good to have option if wanted, more just for plodding about and eating, I’m not one for staying in hotel for a week **** that. Apparently January is the wet month so probs rule that out anyway..
I wouldn't tell your lass that there is some bloody fantastic cake shops where you can eat on the veranda and just look out to sea.
If you’re wanting to get out and about I’d head for Italy though no idea how warm it’ll be in January. Failing that my uncle always heads to the Algarve in Portugal.
