Really? Do you think this is a strong squad?

I think it's the weakest squad we've had for many years.

Certainly worse than the team that got promoted last time around or the one relegated last season even.

The policy of selling anyone and everyone we receive an offer for and bringing in cheap replacements may have made us very profitable but it's not improved the players quality.

Totally agree. The squad is a joke and the team is exactly where it is in the table on merit.

Yes, of course the squad is weaker than previous years. But those squads you mentioned were either in the PL or the top of the champ. This squad should be at least midtable

Of course we should be at least mid table, I mean we have **** full backs, **** centre backs and **** centre mids. We should be top o' the league.

I understand your argument and it's a valid one, but I think this applied more to Phelan last season and hardly anyone seemed to have any sympathy for him. If anything this squad, for the Championship at least, isn't as bad, and I can see a new manager improving us (although of course, to get anywhere near promotion he'd need backing properly).

Spot on, the squad isn't amazing and its not going to get us promoted but we all know that its substantially better than the teams currently around us in the league. Any half decent manager should be able to take that squad to mid-table mediocrity with ease, no way should we be fighting relegation.

Bang on

The defence is appalling but a decent gaffer sorts that out. They look like strangers which makes me question what they do all week in training

Very true, conceding so many in the last few minutes isn't a coincidence, nor is it down to individuals, it's a lack of organisation and leadership and that comes from the top.

Is Nigel Adkins set for [HASHTAG]#hcafc[/HASHTAG]? I had a good chat with his no.2 Crozzer last night and could sense how eager they both are to get back into work, Would fully expect Crosby to go with him to the KC.

I've no doubt we'd see an improvement in performances under Adkins, at least in the short term, but there's something about him that irritates me.

I think we'd see a short term improvement, but I have no confidence in him beyond that.

I'm not in the 'Slutsky Out' camp, but if he were to get the boot I would be more than happy with Nigel Adkins as a replacement. I really rate him.

Also with his physio background he'd be well at home here.

He was at the game on Saturday. I pulled the toilet door open as he was trying to push it and we almost ended up kissing! That must have convinced him.
