I'l just leave that here for those who seem to think that the majority of our fans don't want Karanka

I'm with you there brother. I still find the idea of a foreign manager with a fresh approach appealing too. Henk Fraser at Vitesse or Sa Pinto at Standard Liege. Both of them would be realistic.

    21 votes?

I haven’t spoken to a single one of my pals, in the main lifelong season ticket holders, who want Karanka.

There is nothing whatsoever to suggest he is suitable, from the lack of budget, to the defensive football, via the fact that he’s shown no spine or fight when hugging and walking out on Boro under far greater conditions than we can offer.

Several people have asked you why you are so keen, so please answer?

What has Karanka done in his managerial career to suggest he has the balls and know how to halt the slide of a big club with no direction and financial strength?

Answer that with a valid point and I will get a ****ing Karanka scarf knitted and wave it round on my dick in the Bridges to drum up support.

Hurst has it on this one. Mean naff all polls, especially on such low turn outs.

What about Christophe Galtier? Currently not employed I believe. Good record at St Ettienne, one Coupe de la Ligue and one Ligue 1 manager of the year. Was popular and they gave him a big send off when he left, if I remember rightly.

I've said a load of times

He took over a club that was stagnant and had finished 16th and conceded 70 goals the season before he arrived.

He took over in November 2013 after they'd got off to a poor start. He finished 12th and reduced their goals conceded to 50.

In his first full season he finished 4th only losing out in the play off final. 37 goals conceded.

Season after automatic promotion. 31 goals conceded.

So he took over a rudderless ship, improved year on year culminating in promotion.

He won a power struggle with the bad apples in the squad called their bluff and was begged to come back and took them up.

Funny how Lord Saint Steve Gibson wasnt doing so well for Southgate, Strachan or Mowbray.

Kind of like you didn't hear anyone grumbling about Short when Allardyce was here. A good manager making their chairman look good.

The money theyve spent this summer was earned by Karanka getting them promoted.

So, Karanka didn’t have any money to spend? Is that what you’re saying?

Didn’t have unstinting support from a top owner?

Won his power battle? Mate he was fired, he absolutely did not win that.

Why were the Boro fans so happy to see him go?

Did the improvement in the defence coincide with the emergence of Gibson, a player several top Premier teams were prepared to spend in excess of £20million on.

He had a team full of internationals at his disposal as well.

I’m not saying he’s a bad manager, unquestionably he did a good job for Boro to a point, but he had a completely different set of players, circumstances, finances and tools to work with.

I repeat NOTHING he did at Boro suggests he has the minerals for this job, and the double walkout is a sure fire sign of a coward, the absolute last thing we can afford in this situation.

He seemed to have served his time and hit a brick wall, which happens. He brought on some cracking players in his time there, Payet, Matuidi and Augyamang (sp?). Yeah good shout Norton. I couldn't tell you his style of football though. No idea.

They were very attack minded, but conceded a fair bit. Seems about right for us haha.

I think the likes of kranka is all we can afford/ attract.
He is not my first choice obviously.
But of all the names bantered about he would be my choice.
He has experience of the league.
Other than that who else can we get

After the disaster of Grayson and most of our previous managers. I think it's somebody who would be challenging the league for the first time that I'm swaying towards.
