The allams arnt ripping off the Council payers if they are working legaly within the lease contract...... We could be really picky and say the council ripped of the tax payer by proposing such a poor lease agreement back when the stadium was built etc...

If you have morals and principles you should be able to see that even if it is legally within the lease it's not right.
I think the council were already taking flak over the stadium before it was finished and to that end they wanted to distance themselfs from the day to day running of it, a nice idea which worked for a while and even paid a little bit back to the council. The problem came when the owner of Hull City became the owner of the SMC. absolutely the council cocked up then, or should I say the legal team did.

The owner of Hull City has been the owner of the SMC since the day it opened.

There was a lot of complaining about spending the KC windfall on the stadium.
I personally think it was the best think they could have done with it.
The money would have been frittered away.
In fact if we'd had a Lib Dem council it would never have happened.
PS
End of politics.....Ta !!!

The SMC has a lease, the football and rugby clubs just pay rent to the SMC, from which the council gets nothing.

Who agreed that clause ??

Why would there not be a clause saying after ex amount of revenue will have some of that profit as its a community stadium??

Could the council just put the stadium up for sale if it went to a public vote to end it ??

Tenants in common (TIC) are co-owners who each own a separate and undivided interest in the same real property and have an equal right to the possession and use of the property.

So could the mighty egg chasing Hullfc put it back

And end this

How many people do you employ?

"Efforts to sell Hull-based Ruscador Shipyard as a going concern have failed.... Ruscador was a wholly owned subsidiary of Tempest Diesels, a Lincolnshire firm headed by Assem Allam.... Financial difficulties besetting Tempest Diesels led to Ernst and Young being called in to administer both companies.... The cessation of operations [resulted in] the redundancy of the company's entire workforce of more than 50."

here's 50 employees that Allam ****ed up - funny how he forgets that he had control of his companies taken away from him because they were in a mess

But didn't he go back in and buy the remaining assets (buildings and land) once the expense of the workforce had been laid off.

Are you forgetting that he was put in there by the bank in the first place

I think his business acumen was never in doubt pre buying City. Its his lack of understanding around supporters passion for their football club and unwillingness to learn that kills most of us.
