"Just in case anyone fancies catching up on the other games.

CL ONLY. No EL highlights until the KO stages."

Chelsky in danger of finishing second in their group,

Benfica may not even drop into the EL.

Atletico on the brink ( <applause> to Qarabag) .

And Olympiakos resist the Barca onslaught.

So if Napoli don't beat Shaktar tonight, they are out of the CL
with one group game still to go.

This is the "Napoli" that the pundits + Spurs haters had their
pants down for the Citeh game the other week, right ??

They are top of Serie A, though.
Having said that, Benevento (who?) are bottom, having played 13 and lost every single one of them! <laugh>
Scored 6, conceded 33! Quality Italian defending there.

Were they top when Shaktar beat them in September ??

Or does some other "special" set of conditions/events
have to be constructed to support why the Citeh result was
more significant than the Spurs result, earlier this month ...

They've won 11 and drawn 2 in Serie A. Shakhtar and City (twice) are the only clubs that they've lost against.
Not sure whether that says more about the clubs in their Champions League group or those in their domestic league, though.
The Ukrainians have only lost a couple in the league, but is their league any good? No idea.

Perhaps the Italian pundits, contrary to UK punditry, have stated
tis Napoli and not Spurs who are in the CL "group of death" .

The moment Pep Guardiola pronounced them the 'third best team in the world' was the moment God willed it so.

Because as we all know, Pep Guardiola eats a pot noodle and ****s loaves and fish.

Well, if they don't beat Shakhtar later, then they'll be right! <laugh>
To be fair to the pundits, there were some bloody hard groups this year and a lot haven't turned out how anyone expected.
Atletico struggling against CarrierBag and Besiktas topping a group with Porto, Leipzig and Monaco in it stand out, to me.
