It never ceases to amaze me the number of PL keepers you see get their feet in a muddle and then concede.

Sebastian Bassong has been banned from driving after being caught doing 110mph in a 70mph zone. In his defense, the player was rushing home to his wife, who was in agony due to kidney stones.

Will always have a fond place in my heart for his contribution in our 2009/10 top 4 breakthrough, but the fact that he is only 31 and has been without a club since June is a bit concerning. Why is it that players tend to go completely off the rails after they leave us?

He was training with Birmingham and it was likely he would have got a deal there, but then Harry got the boot and that was the end of that.

I am not trying to sound cruel but I think the pictures show what 20 or so years of alcoholism does to your body in later life.
It probably affected his personal life horribly, it ended his career early and seems to have affected his health in later life. I hope he ain't as sad as he seems in the photos.

I wanted to say exactly the same but was struggling to find the words, well done RCL

Kane could learn a lot more than just about scoring goals from Greavsie. Stay off the lash and keep yourself fit and put your family first or you could end up like this, sadly. It's difficult for me to say this as it's the pot calling the kettle black.

Look at that photo long enough and the great JG morphs into an aged Wayne Rooney, take note Wayne.

It still hurts that we couldn’t accommodate Wimmer in the squad. Barely put a foot wrong for us even given he was lacking any kind of match sharpness most times he played. In any other Spurs team I’ve no doubt he would have gone on to become a permanent fixture.

Glad to see there’s no hard feeling from him, maybe there’ll be a route back one day.

Wimmers a good lad and wish him well. Would also say that I would initially have hoped he was given more time to establish himself and get back to the level he showed in his first season. However.......

Big Dave > Big Kev

So think the decision to move him on was entirely correct. :emoticon-0148-yes:
