I was wondering who,at Spurs had scored the most goals in a game for us. I remember a certain Alfie Stokes scoring 5 against Birmingham. I also remember Dennis Law scoring 6 against Luton, but the game was abandoned and Luton won the replayed tie! (I saw that one).
Sabia Boulahrouz, ex-wife of former Chelsea player Khalid? They split up and she went on a couple of TV shows about dancing, including the Dutch equivalent of Strictly.
And he hit the bar, too. One of Lennon's best games for us. I still think that Scharner's handball goal caused the absolute battering, as the players reacted to the injustice of that **** decision. Went from coasting to really turning the screw.
Dim Sherwood's popped up again, this time in the Torygraph, and he's sounding as deluded as always. Highlights include... * Once again bringing up the 59% win percentage, ignoring many disjointed performances and drubbings against City, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Scam * Taking credit for integrating Kyle Walker into the team, even though he'd played at least eighty games for Spurs by the time Sherwood took over * Gloss over his "tactical" masterstrokes, such as starting Walker up front against Chelsea or Chadli as a defensive midfielder against Benfica * Blames "uncertainty" for clashes with verts, Lamela and Paulinho - somehow missing the source of the uncertainty was the berk in a gillet * Once again try and claim that, without his input, Poch wouldn;t have the team playing as they do
It’s a shame that he continues with this ridiculous, rent-a-quote self-promotion, because, whilst he had (many) faults, his promotion of youth does have to be credited. Unfortunately, his embittered outpourings just confirm to the rest of us what a total, miserable knob he is!
He was given a chance. It went to his head. It was all about him. His press conferences were embarrassing. He may have been clean shaven but he's a dickhead. His failures since our club tell their own truth. He'll struggle to find work in the game, not because he's without talent. It's that mouth and ego.
I was watching a Spurs match (think twas 2015-16) where Clive Allen was co-commentator. When the main commentator said something about the Spurs kids playing etc, Clive said credit for them should go to : - Alex Inglethorpe - Tim Sherwood - Chris Ramsey - John McDermott
Paulinho scores again for Barca as they continue their strong start to the season. Is La Liga really that ****?
Since most La Liga defences are doubling up on Messi and Suarez all game, it wouldn't surprise me if Jason Dozzell could chip in with a few goals.
"But, with the score at 1-1, he netted an acrobatic volley from close range seconds after Spurs loanee Vincent Janssen hit the bar twice." Oh Vinnie................you great lummox.
Second goal: Hat-trick goal: Also: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42041768 A more muted , but still.
