Exactly. It could easily have been a red but it wasn't so clear cut that it was definitely a red. I mean, if you've got your black and white blinkers on then of course it's a red and the ref is a twat and biased against Newcastle, etc., etc.
It feels so much better supporting this team than I can remember in ages. Even if the game ends up being a bit sh*t like today they just all care again. You really realise how we have had to put up with a team that basically didn't give a hoot for so long.
Nobody on the pitch deserved an 8. Most of them were 5s and 6s.Agreed.
I don't know where Lee Ryder was getting off by giving Matt Ritchie an 8. I thought he worked hard but his crosses were gash today.
Agreed.

Elliot? Came in when needed and kept a clean sheet. What more could you ask for from a guy we bought from CharltonNobody on the pitch deserved an 8. Most of them were 5s and 6s.

Any less uncharacteristically sloppy than the rest? **** weather definitely affected this. It was like McLaren for 70 minutes. We haven't gone that long since, well, MclarenI don't think Merino "changed the game". He was uncharacteristically sloppy in possession and in actual fact we only looked threatening in the last 10 minutes. He was on the pitch a good 25 mins before that.
An element of good fortune to his goal but he jumped well. First of many hopefully.
It was a straight red. The slow mo didn't make it look as bad but in real time he went in with some speed.Watch any replay and it was a straight red, ref bottled it.
We were very stagnant attacking wise but that has to do with our middling personnel at that end of the pitch.Any less uncharacteristically sloppy than the rest? **** weather definitely affected this. It was like McLaren for 70 minutes. We haven't gone that long since, well, Mclaren
Yes, it was the replays from certain angles that made me think it was a little bit less than 100% red. I think if a red had have been issued he couldn't have had any complaints though.Watch any replay and it was a straight red, ref bottled it.
Everyone, pretty much.Well my top 4 bet is back on lads
And who says we're deluded?
Well, up until January at which point our new rich Arab owners will empty their bank accounts into Rafa's transfer kitty and we'll buy up the world's best strikers. It was a straight red. The slow mo didn't make it look as bad but in real time he went in with some speed.

We are going to have a few games this season where were really going to struggle for goals.
The stats say Crystal Palace didn't have a shot on target for the whole game. Was Elliott really that good?Elliot? Came in when needed and kept a clean sheet. What more could you ask for from a guy we bought from Charlton
I love him
Agree. Cabaye was late, he was off his feet, he was nowhere near the ball, he scissored tackled Yedlin, it was reckless and dangerous and as he slid he was not in control. Red.Watch any replay and it was a straight red, ref bottled it.
You just need to get one, the best,...Well, up until January at which point our new rich Arab owners will empty their bank accounts into Rafa's transfer kitty and we'll buy up the world's best strikers.![]()
